Hey, I've been on TAO for a few days now, almost a week. I've been meaning to ask a number of questions that I hope you all can answer.

My questions are...
1) What are the benefits of becomming a gold member? Is it worth it?

2) I've noticed that while playing a match, you sometimes get a broadcast that is in red bold letters "Winner of this match gains THIS unit" Is it possible to gain dragon type or Golom type units?

3) Can someone please explain to me with excessive details about the "Dump" bin?

4) I've seen my brother play against someone who had many dragon units. Does this mean gold members are capable of playing on servers where unregistered people play?

I think that is it for now.

Please try and answer these questions to the pinnicle of your understanding so that I and everyone who reads this, understands.

Thanks!

-Choch

You get more units, a grey filter, don't get bumped from the lobby, can go straight from the end of a game to the lobby, don't have to wait between saying stuff in the lobby, get access to revelation, can feel superior to greys. Worth it

2) I've noticed that while playing a match, you sometimes get a broadcast that is in red bold letters "Winner of this match gains THIS unit" Is it possible to gain dragon type or Golom type units?

No, it is only possible to win some of the grey units (most of them actually) on revelation though, you can win some of the golems.

3) Can someone please explain to me with excessive details about the "Dump" bin?

You pick up a unit, put it in the dump bin, you no longer have the unit. This is useful when you have too many units (you can have 10 on the field and 25 off the field). the unit is unrecoverable, so use sparingly.

4) I've seen my brother play against someone who had many dragon units. Does this mean gold members are capable of playing on servers where unregistered people play?

No you didn't.

My questions are...
1) What are the benefits of becomming a gold member? Is it worth it?

http://tacticsarena.com/gold/ and you can make a clan (already been answered but this explains more

2) I've noticed that while playing a match, you sometimes get a broadcast that is in red bold letters "Winner of this match gains THIS unit" Is it possible to gain dragon type or Golom type units?

on a grey account (free account) you can only get grey peices, if you are a gold you can get gollums on revalations. the only peices that you cant get are knights and dragons and dsm and lightning wards

3) Can someone please explain to me with excessive details about the "Dump" bin?

this was already explained in depth

4) I've seen my brother play against someone who had many dragon units. Does this mean gold members are capable of playing on servers where unregistered people play?

gold members can play on the gold server and their home server (great lakes, banff, or armagedon) if you saw you brother playing someone with more than one dragon then they were either playing a moderator or someone that had accidently gotten upgraded more than once, while rare it still happens

i hope this clarified any questions you still had

Hey, The Cheat, take a look at this thread. Notice how these two new players came in here and made very dettailed and pointed questions. They didn't insult people on their first posts, and they obviously put some thought into their keyboards instead of banging their hands against them. When people like choch and Blk Dude come into the forums the way they did, we treat them with the respect they deserve. I guess this thread blows your theory out the window that we're only mean to you because you're new. You could take a lesson from these 2 here.

Choch and Blk Dude-
Welcome to TAO, you'll both do well here as you seem to have brains and ask intelligent questions. Stay a while and have a beer on me (root if you're under 21)

Take care of my new friends, bartender

Shredder and Imagination have answered the questions, and nads brought up a great point. The vets on these forums are not out to crush any new member with a question. In fact, it's quite the opposite.
Most people, who have a tough time in here, bring it on themselves. When I was a noob, I quickly learned how to use these forums ( right after snarr and LondonJack set me straight ).
It's not rocket science.
