What do you think of his films?
Reservoir Dogs: Amazing film, really violent, very crafty. I liked it a lot.
Pulp Fiction: Whoa. One of the best films ever. "We're gonna need shotguns."
Jackie Brown: Never seen it, heard it was good.
Kill Bill Vol. 1: Also one of the best films I have ever seen. The way it was presented just blew me away. It was like nothing else, but like so many other films all at once.
Kill Bill Vol. 2: I want to see it again, and again, and again. Even better than Volume One.
He's such a movie nerd, and a great big geek, but that's what makes him so cool. The quirkiness seems so natural. He knows how to make good films.
Tell me what you think.

Most definetly, I just saw Kill Bill: Vol. 2 last night, it was abso-friggen-lutly spectacular, I'm gonna see it a bagillion more times. I love his movies, he is a genius. They best be making more Kill Bills, or someone 'round here's gettin' a shalackin'.

I think the best of his movies was Reservoir Dogs. But then, I love gangster films.

KB3 is in the works. I know something pretty cool about it, too. Maybe everyone knows, but it's supposed to be about Vivica A. Fox's daughter (from KB1) and her quest for revenge against her The Bride (I won't give away her name because Q&U seemed to not want to give it away until the end in the second film.)

Oh, the AHTM3 trailer is a giant Kill Bill spoof. It's great. =D

Tarantino is a visionary and a real artist. He pays tribute to the kind of movies that inspire him, but he does something that is new and different. I love the fact that you can tell its a film by Tarantino after just one line. Nobody writes dialogue like him. And mosher, dude, if your a fan then get up, walk to your car, drive to the video store and rent Jackie Brown! I really liked it ( but Kill Bill is MUCH better )

I just might do that. I need to buy the special edition of Pulp Fiction anyway...
I heard it was good, but I just have never taken the time to see it.

:( :(
I havent seen KB1 or 2 and I LOVED Pulp Fiction and reservior dogs was awesome (though a bit too violent for how old I was when I watched it). I heard its quite bloody KB.

I laughed at the blood in KB... it was presented in a way that made it so.... funny.
I loved it!

It is bloody snarr, but not exactly steeped in realism. Its a combination of 70's action, kung fu theater and japanese animation, all with dialogue that is very Tarantino. I didn't even realize how good it was until about 2 hours after I watched it. F* ing Great!

That was the same style suit Bruce Lee wore (the yellow one with black stripe) in punch of the dragon, I heard he was heavely influenced by that.

Snarr, buddy. Just go buy the freaking movie. Honestly, what are you waiting for?
The violence in KB1 was way over the top. I would describe it as cartoonish. People eject more blood from their wounds that they could possibly hold in their entire bodies. The KB2 violence was a lot more realistic and scary.
Seriously, tomorrow, go buy KB1, watch it, then go see KB2.
As for Q's influences... That was the main imeptus behind the making of this film (or one of them, anyway.) Tarantino paid homage to all the filmakers he grew up watching, and the result is amazing.
I'm going to go watch Reservoir Dogs right now. :)

Shit I'm gonna buy KB1 tmrw and watch it and then go to the cinema to watch KB2. You should be a salesman 3rd floor.

Snarr, if you liked Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs, then you'll love Kill Bill. Its presentation is so artistic, the dialogue is quintessential Quentin (:)) and the acting is top-notch. If you like kung-fu, spaghetti westerns, Japanese cinema, action, crazy-ass martial arts shenanigans, or Quentin Tarantino, go see it.
In fact, you should find a 24-hour theater and watch them now.
EDIT: Please don't ruin it, but look how long this thread has stayed on topic! Looks like I hit a sweet spot.

Well, I have loved him ever since I saw Resevoir Dogs. In fact, I liked him before that! I liked the guy when I listened to the Resevoir Dogs soundtrack! Awesome!
Pulp Fiction: His best film yet. A classic that shoved a new form of cinema into the eyes of contemporary film. Great stuff.
Resevoir Dogs: Amazing. The violence was beautifuly crafted. Acting is top notch. Argueably one of the greatest crime films... EVER!
Kill Bill Vol.1: Freaking fantastic. As he put it, "It's not supposed to be realistic. It's supposed to be a great movie experience." Agreed, Mr. T! The violence is perfectly over-the-top. The dialogue is so great that it makes you want to pee your pants. Acting is very good. The best tribute to 60's/70's grindhouse films ever. (And probably only the only one)
Dusk 'Till Dawn: You have to see it. Just... go. Buy it. NOW!!!
True Romance: Freaking great. Christopher Walken... c'mon. See it, ya idiot.

Have you seen Vol. 2 yet? The dialogue in it beats Vol. 1 by far.
Still, no movie has added more phrases and quotes to the English language than Pulp Fiction. I'm sorry, did I break your concentration?

No. I'm seeing Kill Bill Vol.2 this weekend. I look foward to it! I heard it is much better than Vol.1.

Reservoir Dogs was a great movie lol best part when they showed I think it was "Mr Pink" running away from the cops after his friend I think yet again it was "Mr White" asked how he got away...

Don't put the spaces in the brackets, and it should work.
Anyway, you'll enjoy Vol. 2 very much.
Reservoir Dogs is so great... The presentation and dialogue is so different from anything else, and it makes it great. It was his [i]first film, too. Amazing.

eh....i didnt think vol. 2 was all that great....sure it had some pretty awesome parts but there were parts that made me think why would that scene even be included...i would say specific ones but i dont want to ruin it...but P.M. (initials) was the AWESOMEST PART
want to know what scene im referring to pm me
and the movie i wa thinking of was true romance, pretty good too

What about Vol. 2 didn't you like?
If people have no interest in seeing the movie, they certainly won't click on the Quentin Tarantino thread, and the people that do click on it have probably already seen it. In short, talk about whatever. I want to know the "specific" scenes you are talking about that shouldn't be there.

It's quite good, the Quentin section is only one fourth of the movie, but the whole thing is rather enjoyable. Been awhile since I've seen it actually, it periodically comes on TV here.

"Strongly dislike" is just another PC phrase that American public schools wanted to brainwash their students with.
Just don't hate... It's as easy as that.

I didn't like KB1, but that's mostly because I found nothing to react to. The sheer garishness of all the blood, etc., actually made me less interested. It wasn't that I found it disgusting, I just got bored.
I said "mostly" intentionally... I also don't really like the japanese film style. I don't dislike it, but I have yet to see a truly japanese style movie that I liked. Though if anyone has any suggestions...

Hero, with Jet Li, is coming over here this summer. You should check that out.
Also, have you seen KB2? It's less gory and much more interesting.
