When it comes time for you to kick the bucket, would you rather be cremated or planted six feet under?

Just for the record, you are not cryogenically frozen after you die. You are frozen right before you die in hopes that future science and medicine will be able to cure you.
I honestly don't care, I'm dead, so it doesn't affect me.

yeah, but cremation is the cheapest. so ur family doesnt need to spend the life insurance money on a fancy burial

Good point. People place too much emphasis on what to do with the physical remains of a dead person. Do whatever is most convenient to those who survive him / her. (Yes it is proper english there.)

I agree. My wife and I were having this discussion. I said that I would be fine with being cremated. It's cheaper, and in all reality, what does it matter? She said ( if I died before her ) she would like to be able to come to a place where a piece of me, even just physical remains, still exists. The decision should be made by the loved ones left behind, in my opinion.

I agree, but I would still prefer a burial... I like the idea, flowers, pretty coffin, and all (romantic here). I don't like the idea of being burnt to a crisp and then thrown into the wind...

I dunno... Hopefully it's a long way off *dodges a speeding bus* but i reckon donate my body to science. I mean I'm dead, not like i need my body and if there is a shot in bettering life for others it's worth it. I'm not sure science would want me though...
I don't want peoples last memory of me to be at some flowery pretty-smelling fancy burial cause thats not who i am... was... whatever
Who was it that said the body is just a means of transport for the soul? whoever it was i'm sure he/she is pretty smart :).
*abyaly starts walking out of the room* no... no... NOOOOO!!!!!

I am already an organ donor. I haven't done any donating yet, but I am a donor nontheless.
George Carlin said that when he died, instead of being buried, he'd like to be thrown out of a helicopter flying over his hometown and left there no matter what. Even if he landed in the Mayor's lawn.
He also said that he'd like to die by spontaneously combusting on the cross-town bus.
I'd rather be buried, but I definitely agree that it should be the choice of those left behind.

I agree with Hugh, it really doesn't matter to you anymore what happens to you body but it van be a big difference to the people you leave behind, be it financialy or emotionaly they should get to decide.

It's alright... those people are there to be cured... they won't do anything to him... for at least 12 hours.

What happens when we run out of room to bury people? Sure, we could start burrying them in Alabama, but that's going to run out eventually too...
