View Full Version : Suicide Matches

Ok me and green were goofing around and came up with this. The basic idea here is to kill all your own units as fast as possible. (before anyone starts complaining about rank, bear in mind that me and green are in the same clan, and i only recommend this as a clan game)
Each person must use the maximum number of units, and paralyzation of your own units does not count, since the game isn't over until someone gets the "You lose" message, that person being the winner :p
Types of matches (that we came up with):
Any unit
No ward
Mobile attackers only
Basic grey (no drops, no gold units)
No drop
Blockable attackers only (didn't try this, don't even think it's possible to have 10 blockable attackers)
Ok i was able to make a blockable attacker only setup with a drop assassin and muddie (i set up to take advantage of the mudquake though :( i guess i'm evil like that, and i truth i wouldn't be possible to suicide with blockable attackers only, so i guess there would need to be a LW in there somewhere)

hmph. I already do this. Only... the other person doesn't play :(. Seriously though, sounds fun! :)

Puni and me would do this. It would get quite smart as I would barrier his units and freeze them so he would be forced to damage my units to get out, there is quite a lot of tactic involved.

Yeah i was thinking about doing that to green, we were mainly doing bomb setups for max damage. He had to leave before we could get into any of the heavier tactics of it ;)
(further proof that i'm just talking to myself???)

When the game first came out and I was still a grey, about the first few weeks I think I was grey, a friend who has since quit and me used to do this. I managed to kill five of my units with a Pyro once. Every cool looking. Doing it with drops is alot easier then without I think. My friend said that he liked no drops better. But now since I have 4 DMWs and I think like 5 Pyros, including my DSM, and 3 clerics it would really easy with drops.

It could be done in 4 moves with 10 spellcasters, at least 4 of which were pyros. This is why you need a minimum of 5 blockable attackers in, to make it more interesting. Try it with both sides set up in the default position- it's harder than it looks, the knights need to damaged early by spellcasters and the scout and assassin block at the most annoying times if you're not careful....

I know, 2 groups of 5 pyros. With blockable units, just have them damage each other and have a spellcaster finish them off. When playing suicide matches, your pyros are vital because they one of the two units that can attack themselves.

The witch and pyros can deal big damage to the knights early on, while they are clustered. Then finish the spellcasters with the knights and scout and assassin, kill the assassin with a knight and scout, then the scout with 2 knights. Dispose of the enchanty and the cleric and you have 3 knights left needing one hit to go down. Sweet.

If you kill off your pyro in default setting you lose, because 3 knights with one hit each is worthless since the final knight can't damage itself.

Good point, I'd forgotten that. Not that it makes too much difference to my plan. Just save one pyro to kill the knight and itself at the same time.
And surely losing is the whole idea?:D

IRT S_K_O_F: I am pretty sure it's spelled shiitake.
And has anyone else noticed how many people will jump your table just to use theri own pyros to hit their cleric, or use the DMW to burn a line of knights?
