Great Idea

This could take years of work, but would be a sick idea, and make a lot of money if the game has enough advertisements...

Make this a gameboy/ps2/or computer game! You can make hordes and hordes of characters sepearted into magic, evil, dragons, and so on, and create over 220 characters or so...and have you travel over diffrent and various areas defeating other opponets..

Now the idea is to kind of base it on pokemon, but not...Don't get me wrong, Pokemon was a SICK game...As gay as it is now that I am older, the gameboy game was sickingly addictive...

Somehow you have to make unique qualities to it, such as getting new characters requires more then a ball, maybe you can complete objectives...When you complte it somehow yuo are taken somewhere and you battle a creatures team, and if you win you get a random creature...you get to pick the creature and there are no stats/levels when you pick it or however you do it...

This barely scratches the border of it I can write it real in depht so everyone understands it, if the idea is a + or a - TELL ME! If you like it I'll write more !

I will try to answer your post nicely...

1) I myself wasn't into all that pokemon stuff, and it might just be me, but I would leave this game in two seconds if they 1, made into one of those gameboy things (as the main bonus to this game is the chatting with other players and the forum), or 2, made it have anything to do with pokemon. Pokemon is Pokemon and Tactics Arena is nothing like it and will hopefully stay that way. NEVER BASE IT ON POKEMON!

2) I like the idea of the traveling to other places, it'd be kind of fun to have some different scenery....

3) There really is no 3, I just wanted to reiterate (repeat) what I said in no. 1, that I would hate it if they did this. I didn't like those gameboy things and I never will, and Pokemon-like stuff is for people that like Pokemon, and it should stay that way.

I don't mean to totally shoot down your idea (well, lets be honest, I do) I just mean to express my dislike of the idea. You seem like a decent person. Get to know the game a little better before you try to think of ways it could be changed and or improved.

Such a game already exists. It is called Final Fantasy Tactics or Final Fantasy Tactics Advance (depending on what system you buy it for.)
