When you subscribe to gold it says like your user name right, well i chose the user name and the same server as my old acct so do i wait 24 hours or can i just keep playing on free account till the wait is over will it upg while im playing or will it just upgrade when i log off

You will retain your free account until you get upgraded, and can continue playing on it...... you probably will get upgraded when you aren't on.
