* There could be a ratings limit on some floors.
Such as a floor being there for new players with ratings of 750 or less, and another that would be for four-figures folks. Perhaps a floor where clan membership is required / preferred.
Simpler alternative: naming the floors.
* Clans require some extra.
Clan tags, /c and /invite + /join are all fine and good, but don't suffice for making the clans meaningful. A Clan Leader should have the ability to see who are in his clan, at the very least. Some new recruits have been asking what the point is in being in a clan.. it would be nice to have an answer for them. So far, it is "clan wars", but for that to serve -
* Clan Wars require some extra.
Such as a battlefield, victory conditions, roster of involved accounts. As is, people get jumped by others while trying to organise clan war bouts. Perhaps like this:
- a Clan War can be started by any two Clan Leaders with the commands /challenge (clan) and /accept.
- if you are a member of a clan, and the clan is at war, you can't be challenged to bouts by anyone who is not involved at the war. You can, however, still challenge others normally.
- members recruited to a clan while the clan is at war get the tag 'recruit'. Though a part of the clan, they are not involved at the war.
- an account that is defeated by a member of the enemy is returned to 'recruit' status.
- a Clan War ends when a Clan Leader is defeated, a clan involved leads by at least two kills (2-0, 5-3) or the clan leaders call it a draw.
- individual ranking is paralleled by a clan ranking (ladder style? Or perhaps tennis ranking style - gain pts for defeating members of other clans, lose a % of points at regular intervals). The clan information gives, for top clans, the number of its members, clan leader, and website if any.
