a /list command that lists the online players in a certian rating range. of course, there would need to be a cap on the results, which could be determined later.

a /challege command that lets you challenge a specific person to a match when they are online. this would help prevent annoying jump-ins. it could also be misused, so there would need to be some restrictions (cannot challenge more than x times per hour) there could be an option to auto-refuse challenges from specific people (this would prolly be limited to golds). and auto-refuse people whose rating is below [or above] a set number (also restricted to golds).

this system would not only make playing a match against a specific person easier, but it would also give players more incentive to become gold.

Yeah both great ideas. I think in challenging someone is a bit... eh you know... I mean cause i high ranked player would recieve heaps of challenges... i guess thats why you have the cap on... maybe it should be only gold can challenge and if they refuse your challenge the first time you have to wait a while before you can challenge again.

I mean i'm a grey and i would love to challenge someone and then not be able to be jumped but even with the auto refuse any gold might recieve a heap of grey challenges and would be constantly refusing them. There also should be the option of refusing all challenges so you don't get bothered.

This could be done through the creation of a private floor/room. This room wouldn't be seen by the public and you would get to it by typing it's name. Only somone you invited could get into your room then. This could even be developed into clan floors with many rooms. All in all just a way to seperate those who are looking for a match with just anyone and those who are selective. Also floors could be named in order to organize the people looking for challenges. For example, there could be a beginner floor as well as a seasoned pro floor. This would help players to find opponents who are on the same skill level.

brando, those would take more space and would require more effort to implement :p

I tried to include some of the possibilities, but I realize some of them were a little outlandish. At the very least the private rooms could only really be hypothetical rooms not actually existing on the server. Going to the room could really mean just entering a battle with the person whose room it is. That shouldn't be too bad to implement.
