block:20(10)

*attack will bounce off first target to any unit 2 spaces away from that units and so on....

so if the attack has bounced of a the 7th guy in an unlucky turtle formation then the damage on the next unit will be:
1+5(7)= 36 unblockable
if it hits all 10 units the 10th unit will recieve:
1+5(9)= 46 unblockable!

Couple of thoughts:
What about units only one space away? Do they retransmit? It makes little sense that units 2 spaces apart retransmit the bolt but those only one space away don't.
Secondly, does this affect friendly units as well? It sounds like it certainly should.
Thirdly, put a adjustment in there that states that the bolt can only be retransmitted once by any one unit on any one turn, otherwie some nasty cycling would occur.
Fourthly, in general this seems a little too overpowered. Although this would become rather useless in the late game, it is FAR too powerful for the early game. It's not like mage a bomb needs any more mage bombing style units, at least for now. (NOT to turn this into a mage bomb bashing thread, I'm rather ambivalent to the whole idea to be honest.) All someone needs to do is stick this up front and center, suddenly he can kill one to 2 units on the opening move! Follow this up with a pyro or witch and it is far too unbalanced.
I don't mean to bash, and this is rather interesting, but it needs to be tweaked. A suggestion of mine would be to decrease its range and movement

The only way to counter this would be to spread your units out by miles in your setup. And that would then lose to most other formations that are used (excluding magebombs). A chain lightning idea would be good, except that it would be simply too powerful in this particular game due to the units' need to deploy together to protect one another in general (grey or gold).

Put a limit on the number of bounces, and have the damage be reduced with each bounce.

I am going to go against my previous grain, and suggest that I actually like the thought of this unit. I still stand behind some of my suggestions, and Tequila Budgies suggestion is likely better than my long paragraphs. I'm just finding that the turtle is too established. Imagine this unit... it might actually force us to spread our units out! What a unique thought, turtles being passé. This unit would force the status quo waaaay out on a limb. This would force innovation.... good thought

You can't make another unit just to counter turtles. Seed has done that already with the DSM, and now you want MORE? Just because you don't like the turtle (I expect you always lose to them) doesn't mean you should agree with an idea just because it's anti-turtle.

I think a unit like this could cause some diversification. but seriously it does need some tweaking. maybe put a number on how many bounces say three ot four. And maybe make it applicable to friendly units

yes, make it apply to friendly units and then it'll be more fair.... any one read my Ball Lightning Thread...... i think its a decent lightning themed unit.

There was already an idea like this, but it is not on the last page so it got deleted I guess?

I like to think so. More balanced, anyway.
