Mark up another one for the Serge-man boys...
_________________________________________________
Name: Viking
HP: 40
Armor: 18
Power: 20
Block: 55%
Movement: 3
Wait: 1 turn

Ability--Advanced Ranged Attack--Range of four--No LOS rules.

NEW!!! Secondary Ability--Advanced Melee Attack--Range of one--To activate, you would click and hold on the Viking like for a mudquake, then the range of the Viking would temporarily reduce to one. This attack has a power of 15 and adds the status effect FEAR to the unit if hit.

NEW!!! New Status Effect--Fear--Doesn't affect wards, Mud Golems, or Dragon Tyrants. When a unit is inflicted by fear, it's movement is increased by one, but it's power is decreased by half. Fear lasts for three of the affected unit's owner's turn.

Appearance: Viking, uses a spear and a round shield.

Tactics: It could be used for defensive formations, as both an addition to a knight wall, and able to attack from a slight distance even over knights, other units and LW's.

Scout is better in every way except power and hp, and those are only slightly different. Why should people use this?

B/c I am an idiot and made the wait 3 when it should be one(3 is the movement range) hold on I will fix that. Also, it is supposed to be a more durable ranged unit.

I don't get it.

I have only played gold a few times on my friends account (he didn't give me his password). So I'm not really 100% sure of what would improve the strategy, so I figured a knight/scout hybrid would be good. It's a little more powerful, faster, and more durable than a scout, but it has shorter range. It has more range than a knight, but it is less powerful and less durable.

the problem with your units, are that you don't do enoff work on your them. next time add some tactics, back ground and addtional information. :D

I used to, but people never really read that stuff, or cared. I also assumed everyone knows what a viking is...

Okey Dokey...added a tactics section to my first post.

The viking era was around the 9th... 10th century. Dark Magic Witches and Dragon Tyrants became extinct around 400 AD. Get your timeline straight!

ooh sorry I couldn't seem to find any history books on DARK MAGIC WITCHES

These were magical vikings who traveled back in time.

Has anyone ever played the SNES game "The Lost Vikings" It was one of the greatest games of all time IMO.

Now could someone actually tell me what they think about my idea. I think it would be a great addition to the game. I mean a crappy new unit is better than no new unit...

Bump.

I changed it a lil bit. I know the Secondary ability is out there, but bear with me, there can not be good ideas without bad ideas.
