...People are constantly looking for new strategies, forms, tricks, etc...though this is all well and good, people are forgetting their most valueble asset...common sense! :D

Real world common sense doesn't apply (as it's based on reality and not Tactics Arena Online).
Unless of course you're refering to another type of common sense. In which case you can ignore what I just said.

So what you're saying is that people sometimes are so caught up in a complicated strategy that they forget the obvious, like always keeping a pyromancer at least 4 spaces away from a lighning ward.
Is that it?

Something like that...people are so involved in the complex (so to speak), that they forget about the simple things...i gtg...i continue later...peace out all...

I see what this guys saying. I play 3 assassins, sometimes I get so caught up trying to take down a knight that I turn their backs to like a Scout or something. Guess paying attention to the whole board is pretty important.
