Trying to get your oponent to surrender on the first turn is not a strategy.

Neither is trying to convince them that F5 gives you a new unit.

Seriously. I'm getting bored of trying to convince people that I'm a 12 year old who just started playing TAO becuase Neopets got boring and maybe I just might believe them and grab that nice pretty flag before kicking their butts.

Anyone else get fed up with this?

A lot of people hate that.... but as long as you know what you're doing, it's pretty funny. Example:

A: Press F5 to get a dragon
B: Gee, thanks!
A: Did you do it?
B: I don't want to get a dragon... it feels like cheating
A: It isn't, don't worry
B: I'll do it in the lobby... after telling your clan leader you're such a nice guy for telling me about this (That last part only works when they're in a respectable clan though)
A: no, do it now
B: Ok
B: F5
B: It didn't work :o
A: No, you need to press the F5 key!
A: Like this

Me: Yeah, a red message popped up saying ***The guy you're playing is a cheating n00b. You've automatically gained an extra Frost Golem for having to put up with this boob. Oh yeah, take a screen shot, and black mail, black mail, and then black mail!***
Cheater: Wha?!?!
Me: I'm confused?
***Cheater has leffed the arena***

A guy tried to make me press F5, he said it would make my guys go faster, but because of my superior knowledge I knew it would reload the page. And this was on my first game too.

Wow. I hope there aren't alot of people that fall for this. I mean if you're playing a strategy game, i've gotta assume you're reasonably intelligent lol. I guess some people think it's funny picking on computer n00bs though. Is there a place where we can complain if someone tries to get you to leave, like an admin forum or something?

Well, somebody got me with the "what does a/s/l mean?????" thing once. That was because it was like my second game and I couldnt believe that it was so pathetic that it would kick you for words that only 3rd graders would find risque.

Wow, that stinks. This one game (and I know this is a tad unethical, but oh well), a person was completely spamming with "go faster go faster" etc. so I ended up just saying:
"Fcuk you!"
For some reason he left right afterwards :p
