Hey I've been playing for about a week and I'm pretty good at beating other noobies and people at around 700-800. My stats are in the 900s now and I think i should move up, but I'm having a very hard time beating anyone in the 900s. If anyone has any good strategies here's is a good place to put em. I've heard of turtles and stuff but I don't know what they are. Could anyone explain?

There are many different strategies. Basically, the idea of a specific strategy is so that you can make a formation that has a specific goal in mind, instead of just playing things differently each game.

A turtle strategy is basically hiding in a cluster, usually in a corner. When a grey does this, the basic idea is to protect the cleric, hide behind a lightning ward, and sometimes to use and abuse a barrier ward. These formations use knights as walls and as endgame units, and usually picks off enemy units one at a time, or the such. Very defensive, lots of healing. Also, most people put their lightning wards 4 spaces in front of their clerics, to prevent enemy witches from killing them from afar.

An aggressive strategy is exactly that; one that attacks quickly and keeps attacking. For greys, knights are a good stable base unit, with things like the scout, assassin(s), and maybe some other units thrown in for good measure. Things like witches, sometimes pyros, etc., make them very strong. Not all of these include a cleric, some don't.

There are a few others, including like all around styles that are fit for any position, etc. You just have to find how you like to play, and make a formation to suit that.

My strat is similar, but I don't have a cleric. I never used it so I decided to put in another offense. I sometimes regret it, but not usually.
