I think the enchantress is definately the best unit, and now only that, there is a really good trick I learnt when it comes down to the last few guys.

Get your enchantress to paralyze two or three guys - enough so that there arent any long range units moveable, just make sure she is at full health, or at least more than 22. When they send one of their knights/assassins/whatever, they hit your enchantress and end up right beside here. Now in most cases it takes at least 3 turns for the knight to get to the enchantress. If not, make sure there are obstacles for the knight :) Now once he hits the enchantress, that will free her up, with the knight, AND the previously paralyzed units. Of course all you gotta do is re-paralyze and you've added one more unit to her paralyzation thingy. Repeat until you win, although you only have to do it once since there will only be one unit left or so.

I'm not sure if you guys knew about this, but all I know is that it has won be at least 5 games.

IF they have no ranged units left AND they take longer than 3 turns to get your enchantress down, yes, this is a fun tactic... but that's a lot of ifs.

Not to mention that they'd only have to have a single other unit, since your enchantress only has 13 health after that attack, and every unit in the game does more damage than that.

i think he's allowing himself a cleric... and prolly some other units that will keep me from knifing his cleric before coming after the enchantress.

It's a good strat if you can use 2 Enchantresses to zap the whole board in a few turns, but your particular strat [reparalyzing] only works against newbs, or if the opponent only has ONE unit left.

Let's say you have an Enchantress and a Cleric. The Enchantress is paralyzing part of my army, and has full health. I have 2 Knights. Neither of them can get there in time [3 turns, right?]

Only a newb who doesn't know the Chantress recovery time would move up the knight and get reparalyzed. What you want to do is move up both Knights RIGHT NEXT TO the Enchantress's paralyze-field, by which time she'll have her recovery back [if neither Knight is within 3 turns of an attack, to get right outside the field will take at least 6 turns, plenty of time].

The Enchantress might decide to move and paralyze your 2 Knights, but you should plan in such a way that she can't paralyze the Knights AND the rest of your army, so if she comes to you she loses the para on a few units which can then attack her.

So, once you're in range, you send in a Knight and swing at her. Now your opponent can do TWO things.

1. Paralyze again, entrapping the Knight. Too late. The other knight moves in and delivers the killing blow.

2. Heal with the Cleric. You should have killed the Cleric first, but let's assume you didn't - it's not necessary. You use the turn to move out one of your deparalyzed units from the other part of your army so that you are again guaranteed two un-para'd units no matter where she casts her spell. Rinse and repeat.

Oh yeah forgot about the cleric.

Well I don't know, a lot of people can be caught off gaurd. They rush towards the enchantress because if they kill her, then they win, but thats where they make the mistake. Unless your playing against someone who is some kind of expert chess player, then there isn't that many if's.

ive used this several times to win a close game, but I took the enchantress out of my setup and put more units good for the whole game. this ended up making it so i dont end up in those close games :). as long as you take out your opponents enchantress fast you have nuthin to worry about and an extra space to jack up your offensive power. plus if your opponent is smart he wont leave 2 or 3 units close togethor AND in range of a move from the enchantress to paralyze them all. overall i'd say it is sometimes underused, but mostly just affective against newbs and people that dont pay attention during a game :D.

I think the most underused enchantress tactic is barrier + enchantress. I'm not even gold, and I've beaten Gold users that threw two scouts at me, golems, and dragons with that tactic. If you have the barrier ward in a safe place (It's got a LONG range), it's heck to get her out of that. If the enemy has Frost Golems, make sure you take em out, because Paralyze goes through barrier.

Although, your enchantress would still be safe =P
