Why does everyone care about ratings so much? I just finished playing a grey with a rating of about 1050, and he was downright horrible! He started off by trying to get me to press f5 or alt+f4, but when I finally got him to just play the game, he was REALLY bad. Meanwhile, I've played against great people who are 700-800, who just don't care that much about ratings. Neither do I, and if I have to leave, I'll leave the battle, even if it kills my rating. Why does everyone care so much?

his rating may have been pumped up by getting people to let him win or something like that. Or maybe that refresh the screen trick worked on a few people. Anyway, I agree. If I have to leave a battle I just go. You can always get your ratings points back.

Shrug, good players dont care about ratings really. I mean, you have people like forceofnature who do nothing but jump golds on GL. He absolutely refuses to play golds, so he has a really high rating. Of course, on Rev where he has to play Golds he has a rating of like 560. Just remember that once you get above a certain point, only the idiots will care about your rating.
