Hey i just got online... geez... talk about pressure.

Very first thing i tried to do was a fight too lol.

One thing dude the scene is fine but don't move the sticks so much between frames... it's very jolty. When you use less and make more frames it's biggest but the end result is a lot smoother... I'll post one of mine it i can find it.

I'm sorry it's a little small but i made it 70 pixels wide to use as an avatar and when i make it bigger the quality is terrible...

I'll post more when i make them. Any requests?

i was just throwing a rough estimate out of how long it was... kinda guess really, so how long is it in truth?

and why wold u need something at 69 frames a second, the human eye cant really tell anything past 60... just my 2 cents

Not bad not bad... It's a little hard to follow who is who... maybe you could change there colours so you can distinguish. Why not instead of moving them so fast you move them slower and push the frame rate up... it'll be even less jolty but it will take a bit longer to do...

I'm gonna start a series with mine. I'm gonna come up with lots of different endings to the same starting sequence... check it out. (this is just the start bit)

http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/391/Joustbegin.gif

Pile on some ideas for the end... I've got a few but some variation would be nice.

P.S. And yes i had a bit of trouble positioning the joust, horse and rider for the second horse as they had to scroll in... just ignore it :)

I think he might have drawn them. Just a wild guess.

Asmodeus
05-29-2004, 09:05 AM
I know that! But you have to put them in certain frames to get that effect just a guess.

Oh, well I don't know anything about animation, so I don't know.

Ouch dude.... Ouch.

The horseys are on there as preset things. When you go into edit press open and there is an elephant, a horse and one other thing... ummmm... don't know it but it's there.

The movement this is easy... like it's just an illusion. just make a little piece of nothing in edit that looks like this: -

Then you put it on one side of the screen and move it across in a line at a fast rate. The further you move it the faster it looks like you are going, but remember they have to look like it is moveing in a line otherwise it's just little dots on the screen. it just gives the effect that the screen is moving really fast. I used it on my superpain one too but it's so small you can't see em.

Asmodeus
05-29-2004, 04:54 PM
I saw them on superpain...it wasn't to hard to see them.. ok so your saying all i have to do is make a custom animation that look like this: - Then move them each frame into a different place?

Duffman
05-29-2004, 05:05 PM
pretty much. Just make sure the move in a line opposite to the direction of the movement. Oh and if you use more than one it goes without saying they have to be parallel lines.

Ok. thanks duff
