Well. I just thought that t would be nice to have a gold jumpers thread for all three servers, so that grey jumpers and cheaters can be shown for who they really are, although I presume this will be restricted to golds, as greys are simply deleted every month, and the can make multiple accounts....
So, to start this thread off I will post a few golds who I have found on the army server. At the moment I only have two here, but there are also others posted on the thread entitled "icantwin : caught cheating", which my clan leader has posted here.
The two golds I have, one of them was jumping greys, before I got him/her into a game, where he/she tried to make me join his/her clan so that he/she would not lose stats. This was against lordpyro.
The other one, puppy, is a more severe case, I believe, as I gave him two games, both of which he tried to make me leave, the first one using the F5 trick, the second time he wanted me to surrender because he 'had to go to dinner'. After the game he remained in the lobby ignoring me, asking golds to join his clan.
Here they are:

(Repost from the Banff thread)

Ok, I've been talking to a few of the golds and I have to say something. I know it's fun to play golds and fun to razzle them some, but let me ask, if you are in a game with a gold, please, please, please, do not give them a hard time with taunts and rude comments unless they really deserve it. Just because they are gold does not mean that they deserve beratement. I don't want DR to come down on us because we are making the game not fun for Golds and thus they are cancelling their accounts. Besides, if the taunting in the lobby is to get a game, once you are in game, why continue? I think my guys and gals are of a higher class than that.

Likewise, if anyone sees one of my members using cheap tactics such as stalling, please let me know. I will not suffer the tactics of lexpression in my clan. I hate stalling worse than I hate greyjumping... ok, almost.

I play golds because it's a challenge every time (almost), not because I want to take money out of DR and Seed's pocket. Remember that the game is for fun and not to prove your manhood.

Golds can not play golds all the time.
Often there are a lot less gold opponents to go around.
Many golds are also Clan leaders and that takes their time as well, meaning two things.
1) even though there may be golds in lobby, some may be doing clan business and not avail. for other golds to play.
2) if the gold DOES get time to play and there are no golds willing to battle, if they want to play they have to play a grey.

Even more, since some golds are ranked so high even a 900 grey wont give them points, why sit a tile only to get jumped by tons of 750's trying to score mega points of a high ranked gold. More often than not, the gold will stat a few people and grab the first game that will give them any points.

Not all golds that play greys are "grey jumpers".
Besides, the best way to get revenge on a grey jumper is to beat them. And yes, it can be done. DragonFire Greys beating Golds (http://www.knightresource.netfirms.com/DragonFire/pictures/pictures06.html)

Shaman,
I understand the reasons. Occasionally just getting into a game is fine. What is wrong is when the likes of Trauger on Great Lakes, with a 1648 rating, will not play golds. He will only play high ranked greys trying to take their ratings. There are others who do this, who will not play against a gold or even a grey who challenges them, but looks for the first unsuspecting grey that will give them points.

And believe me, I know that golds can be beaten. If you check out the Banff and Great Lakes versions of this thread, you will see screen shot after screen shot of greys beating golds. An official Gold Jumpers clan has not been set up on Army at this time, mainly because I don't have time to patrol all 3 servers the way I would like to. I do have a name on Army that I use occasionally when the other 2 servers are dead.

Saying this, (way off tangent), I believe our efforts are beginning to pay off. Banff, by far, is the friendliest noob grey server. Great Lakes is the worst and that is why I decided to expand to there next. With Army being the default server right now, ya'll are getting a large influx that will need to be seen to, but I don't have the time. Hopefully you golds can patrol yourselves until we can expand. And I'll check occasionally.

most golds wont play greys that have stats and want to play them. golds that i want to play have about equal stats to me but turn down my challenge. and yet they say the only want to play golds. and yes i would prefer if more golds would jump me when waitin for a battle.

I play greys occasionaly, although I prefer playing other golds. This is because I may be in a bad mood and dont feel like fighting a turtler, is which case I make my formation grey-friendly, or maybe Im recruiting for my clan, or maybe there are no golds on that are willing to play. In any case I have been called a grey jumper before, and have had stalling used against me, which is just gay. I dont care about the stats I play since no matter wut a grey's stats are, mine are high enough that they will either have high enough stats to have an amazing gold-beating srtategy, or otherwise I gain 1 or 2 points, and they lose 1 or 2. I care about keeping my stats correct, but I dont care about spending says trying to get them as high as possible. The game is about skills, not stats. Its great to say you have 1500+ stats, but if u cant deliver in a game, you are done. Grey's that practice to fight golds help to keep the people who play greys just for stats away, and also give people like me a challenge where we would not expect one. Keep up the good work :D

I don't find grey jumping golds to be as significant a problem in Army, at least for upper ranked. There ARE a lot of golds who are grey jumpers, but they aren't significant enough to warrant a complaint most of the time.

Really too, there are becoming more and more golds now, so that its becoming difficult to really keep track of the loser ones in this manner.

Army does do well against grey jumpers, golds always look for another gold to play. though being a goldjumper was fun, it is not to necessary on army. just my opinion squigs!

kalamady, your banner has a samurai on it, not a ninja, he is just dressed as he would be in his home.

sorry i know it has nothing to do with goldjumpers, but here

how do u know a ninja wouldn't dress like that at home?! huh?!

Cephas

Ninjas can dress like ballerinas if it suits them to disguise themselves that way, we should have no problem thinking of the samurai as a ninja (but shame on him for giving himself away... victory must already be assured for him, he's gonna kill us all!). As far as us Gold Jumpers are concerned though, most of my GL Jumping crew is pretty well tied to GL, and I'm too busy leading them to go to Army most of the time now, however, if I catch roody while I'm there, and we still don't have an official clan, I will definitely join netjak there.

More of Squig's crew is mobile, but we just don't have the time to spread ourselves out that far... :(

Hey I am glad to see that you guys are over here too.
Perhaps I can see some of the old names from the other
servers and get some good practice games in. To you all
in the Gold Jumpers thanks for all the lessons I have learned
as much from you guys as I have from my family at netjak.

I dont know why I like to kick dead horses but... grey jumpers just piss me off. Especially when they say that there is nothing wrong with jumping greys after jumping ME (of all people) when they have almost a 1200 rating, and I have about 850, then they lose miserably, and jump straight into another game with another lowly rated grey.

Here is his miserable little head.

May that be a message for all of you grey jumpers out there. Do not jump greys, you may lose, and you will lose respect from other players.

The server appears to have fallen into an advanced state of decay. I was jumped by this chump (http://img482.imageshack.us/img482/2293/chris1234567890123gd.jpg), but made short work of him. There is only so much of me to go around...

Ceph, he didn't even say hello during your battle. And where were the traditional cursings insults and threats normally given by grey jumpers as their dying words? Indeed the server has fallen into disarray!

 sory i may be a lil slow but i dont get it.... i thought golds are aloud to jump golds.... and i totally agree with the part that it isn't fair that golds must always hit golds... sometimes when they're only 8 golds on... 3 to hard so u no ur gunna lose the others dont answer or will never accept a challenge... wats a person like me to do? u gotta jump a grey sometimes... we deserve it for paying $5 a month

So let me get this straight... in your example, some golds are "too hard" for you to play and you know you'll lose so you jump a grey because you know they'll lose?

...you're an idiot.

Greys beat golds all the time, and lots of new golds jump greys because they don't know any better. It's true some golds jump greys because they know they can't beat another gold, but that's rare to find now-a-days, and the other case of it just might be that the golds just set their avatar dowm, and a grey decides to play them.

Hmmm... At first I only let myself get jumped by a gold and then brag about them being grey-jumpers. Now I jump everygold I can. When I play a grey game. I either jump a known grey player or play a gold. I just have to seek out losses. :)

Most of the golds I play are asses - I brag about those wins. Some are new and want to learn - I leave them the stats and help them to understand the game and basic moral rules (to avoid grey jumping etc.). Some are just noobs - I tell them what should they read to become better.

I agree with Pinkie. If you're too close-minded to fight someone stronger than you, then you deserve for your playing abilities to be permanently stunted by your unwillingless to expand.

Those who win by picking on the weak lose in the end.

You lost to me by such a huge margin because you are unwilling to practice to get better. The only way to get better is to learn from your mistakes.

You are depriving yourself of that right by picking on the weak. You're also depriving the greys you jump of that right--by jumping a grey with gold units, you are facing them with an inherent advantage, and without their consent. They don't learn how to use their units if they don't face someone using their units.

And lastly, you abuse the ratings system when you get to the top by avoiding people stronger than you.

Some new guys jump greys because they don't know better than to fight stronger people to grow stronger.... But you should know better than that.

No, you don't "gotta jump a grey sometimes." If there aren't any golds to play, sit your unit down and hope that someone will play you, gold or grey.
