I was thinking about how to eliminate the whole f5, ctrl-w, etc. scam and I thought:
"Why not have a game not be able to end unless one of the players surrenders or one of the players wins by attrition? If the window of wither player is closed, why not just say that the player will be right back, and not have the remaining player win, when the presumably disconnected player logs back in, they will be taken to their battle."

If anyone were to exploit the system, ex. leaving the game in order to inconvenience the opponent, the turn counter would of course run out and the ohter player would be able to move. What could always happen is that when someone closes their window their turn counter time is halved. Also, if two people both leave their windows, then have the turn counter stop completely until both players come back on.

please feel free to give suggestions, don't give flames

window closing is a function of your browser and not the game.
As far as the game is concerned, your move timer ran out and you lose.

If they somehow removed the loss for closed windows, how many people do you think would simply close their TAO window everytime they were going to lose?

Precisely. The computer can't distinguish between a discon and the window being closed; therefore, the system we have currently is the best one we can get.
