I think the arena layout gets a little boring after a while. What if players could choose a tile set for their half of the board. For example, imagine a tile set that emulated a forest terrain, with actual trees and shrubery that could block/impede movement, while offering bonuses to specific unit types. Archers could have their movement and block percentage increased while standing on the forest tile set. Beast Riders would not only receive increased movement when in the forest, but would deal bonus damage as well. Other tile sets could include castle ruins (Knight, Priest), volcanic mountain (Dragon, Pyromancer), swamp (Witch) and rocky ravine (Golems), just to name a few.
The terrain wouldn't need to be detailed, just recognizable. Also, to make it more balanced the terrain could be the effect of a ward, that when struck would cause the tile set to revert back to normal. Tell me what you think.

ooooooooooooooooohhhh.... I'm not sure if this has been suggested before because I never look at the suggestions part (where this should have been), but I really like this idea... *claps*
But then again, this game is more chess like, it would cause the game to change quite a bit..

i dont like the idea of putting down things to impede....it would make games MUCH longer especially if there wasnt a limit to how much u can put down

It's not putting things down so much as a few tiles being occupied by specific objects of the terrain type. It wouldn't be many tilles, just enough to create a tactical advantage for the person using the terrain type.

yes this has been suggested... A LOT
this also belongs in the Suggestions forum, plz do a search of that area before posting anymore suggestions in the future, we like ppl to contribute, but necro posting an idea in the suggestions forum is probably better than making a clone thread in the wrong forum (IMO)

1. this has been suggested before and has been deemed not-to-be-done by people in charge.
2. suggestions belong in the suggestion forum.
3. if you feel a sudden inspiration and have to tell everyone a grat idea that will revolutionize TAO, be sure to check the thread called "previously suggested ideas" thread in the suggestion forum
4. if you come up with a brilliant idea that will revolutionize TAO and has not been previously suggested and you want it to have a chance of being implemented, post it somewhere where Seed will see it (the nonexistent Legends forums). Dont ask about their location here, because to us, they do not exist.
