U should be able to see how much damage an attack will do before u attack from far away. Like when u are 2 far away to see how much the attack will do and want to no if u should move there or not and if it will kill the unit.

Here's my last flame ever...

You can playa dawg! chiggity check it my neezie! take a look at the top left corner o' yo mo fo screen when you be about ta hit. ryte dere it says how much you be gunna hit dat foo for. An let me axe you dis too. Remember how in 4th grade before yall dropped out ta deal an slang in tha streets ya learnt that math stuff? Well yall catz can use it to calculate how hard yo gat be gonna hit that mo fo by usin the enemy units armor as a percent damage absorbed. One sec... Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn I'm gettin a booty call. I'll holla atcha latez.

Nads, this is another reason why you'll be missed. I have to go find Hugh...

In answer to your question (in case you can't understand nads, which was fully intentional I'm sure) you already can. Select attack, and choose a place to attack as usual. The targetted area should go red. Now, before you click again to carry out the attack, check the top left hand corner of the screen; your chance of hitting and damage that will be dealt will be displayed. The only way to learn how much damage you'll do without using this is to learn some basic maths. Here it is:

Damage dealt = power * (100-armor)/100.

ie, if you attack a knight with a pyro, you will deal 15 * (100-25)/100 damage, or 15*75/100, or 15 * 0.75. Round that to the nearest whole number, and there ya go.

A noob calls Bottle a dumbass, just for politely explaining the damage charts??

Notice he gave you a nice formula for calculating damage of ANY attack.

Now shut up and go away you worthless piece of dog poop. You are a waste of a human being, who should hold his breath until he dies! You are one of the reasons I support abortion up until the 40th year. I hope you trip over your laces and fall under a bus. One day, when you finally crawl out of the house into daylight, i hope you burst into flames. Someday someone will take pity on you, and actually talk to you in public. Of course than person will immediately jump off a cliff in embarassment. The best part of you ran down your daddies leg. When you were born, yourt mama said what a treasure, and your daddy said yeah, lets bury it. You are so ugly, that when you were born, the doctor slapped your mama. Your so dumb, so dumb the computer said press any key to continue and you went looking for the any key.

*laughs at all this*
I think part of the intention is so that u hav to learn the damage amounts or guestimate it. It helps add to the experience factor. Eventually, even without knowing the exact damage amounts, u can eyeball a units armor/hp, and figure out how many hits from various attacks it can take, its chance to block those attacks, etc etc.

Or u could look at a damage chart :)

I'm confused by what you want.... the damage charts and bottle's formula both tell you how much damage will be dealt when you aren't in range, you don't need to be within six tiles of the knight to plug in numbers for a formula for your scout....

No, he wants the game to tell him damage from/damage to automatically for any unit on the board before movement or attack phase has been used. He doesn;t want to use the formula or chart, he just wants it done already.

It would be EASIER if it already said it when u hover over the unit or something.it is not a big deal.

Jeffery

It would be easier yes. You would have to select unit, then the attack button, then the unit yuo want to check. It would automate the game a bit more. But so would printing out a neat little damage chart, or memorizing the damage formula.

true.i was just suggesting it.
