To clear out the servers of inactive players, for less lag(go to Legends and see what I mean), and for another reason to go gold.

I've never understood why these announcement threads aren't locked immediately after being created. There is really no need for discussion on this one. For the new unit ones, I can understand discussion, but for this one? There is no need.
