Well guys, I've come to the end of another term at university, and I'm on my way home again, to my awful internet connection and parents snapping at why I'm on the internet for an hour at a time. So for the next 3 months or so (3 months! How will I survive) I may have to do without TAO. I'll still be on the forums a bit, although nowhere near as much, and if I can persuade my parents to get broadband I may be able to play a bit as well. But I won't be here anywhere near as often as I am now.

So this isn't really a farewell thread, but I probably won't see a lot of you for a long time. So good luck to you all, I hope you're all here when I launch Assault #3 on the Rankings and Top 10 posters list, and I'll see you... next week, I hope.:D

I'm touched by all the responses this has got. Having spoken to my parents, the chances of getting broadband look quite good, so I might be with you slightly more often than I would have been; I may even be able to play a bit. So don't worry, you may get me back sooner than I thought.

Library lets me go on the forum, but not the game. I can get on the game at home, but it takes about an hour to load and until I get broadband I've been limited to... an hour on the internet.:( I hope to get broadband sometime next week...

Having played TAO on Dialup, "Super" Dialup, DSL, Cable Broadband, and Business Broadband, I can say the difference between the first 2 and the last 3 are tremendous! Especially during the initial game download. On dialup it can be 20 minutes, at business class it takes less than 5 seconds.
