Finally A Counter To Dragons!

i posted an idea earlier called the demon's blademan but i was told by the one person kind enough to replie that its a good unit but doesnt add tactic to the game so i took ideas from THE NAME dragon tamer that will help add tactic...before i show you its stats i just want to say im a grey...and fighting golds blows because dragons are pains in the asses to kill so i revised my character to be geared toward fire based enemies (essentially the pyromancer and the dragons...oh yeah and the dragonspeakers mage...but theyre just better pyromancers. ) i mean that his stats are doubled(exept for healt) when attackin/blocking a fire based enemy.

health 50
power 18 (36 against fire guys)
armour 12(24 if hit by fire)
block 20%all around(stays 20% but can block fire (20%of the time))
recover 2 (1 if he just hit a fire guy)
move 2(4 if a fire based guy is in range(of 4))

hes got the same attack too a little different though...his attack pattern would be like the beast riders 2 spaces. but the second guy cant block-- ill explain the first guy is hit by a melee strike from his massive sword(blocking is regular this time) the second guy is hit with a magic shockwave created by the connection of the first swing(if the opponent blocks the blademan still connects with their weapon and the shockwave is still shot out) and therefore he can only hit the magic part if theres a melee strike.

abilty i already explained it really its the same guy(i dont like typing read the sor goodness sake the demon's bladmeman post hes explained)(its supposed to be for goodness sake but i made a typo) but this time he hates fire it doesnt really hurt him just bothers him...so he gets pissed and fights harder. you might think hes overpowered but theres a drawback...for one he loses 6 health when healed(instead of gaining 12) and he is hurt extra by lightning wards(no armour inluded when hit by it) this is for destroying pestering dragons and gay pyros who can both be a pain to finish off if used right so it has to be useable by greys...golds too...im a realist theres no way there will be an advantage for the cheapsate freegamers over the morons that pay to play so there you go

I don't think it's a very good idea because make the same human unit as strong as a wild beast was foolish, human can't kill beasts that easy. You've gotta use the same force to neutralize it. Use one Mud Golem and use another Dragon Tyrant to fight against it. And then use a Beast Rider for backup, and use a Furgon to summon shrubs to trap it in the centre while it's recovering, use some flamecasters for backup too. Then use all three knights to surround it and attack all three turns, when you do all that before, better use a Frost Golem to paralyze it for no escape. Use Dark Magic Witches and Assassins for still backups. Finally use a Scout or two Scouts for backups of making sure if it escapes, you can always use it to hunt it down.
(The best way to counter a Dragon Tyrant...)

This is the worst idea ever! Why the hell would a grey get a unit to counter a gold unit? Greys don't deserve new units, they don't support this game in anyway (atleast none that I can think of.) They are just free-loaders. You can’t think of any reasons greys don’t help the game because you’re a dolt. Greys play a very important part in this game, because without greys, golds would have no advantage, and would pay for nothing, and, therefore, greys do deserve something to counter dragons, because if we don't then we'll eventually get fed up with the game and leave. Then it'd be all golds without an advantage...moron. Oh and the reason that I hate all golds is because they think that, because they pay for a free game, they are better than people that are smarter than them (referring to the non-morons that play for free.)
I've been playing for less than a week and I'm already starting to get sick of the game for a few reasons: 1)Nothing means anything in this game(oooo your gold and have a better rank than me, solely for the reason that you have better units)2) Before I state this I have to say that I think tactics games are the best kind of games ever, but they usually have a good in depth storylines with all sorts of plot twists, and they also usually lead me somewhere(better stats for characters (those kind of stats mean something)) and new attacks that are fun to look at. Just for reference by far the best tactics game has got to be Final Fantasy Tactics (for playstation, not gameboy--that one sucked) 3)This game is as bad as runescape(runescape.com) no...even worse because at least runescape has a huge world of different lands and missions that can divert you from the fact that the gameplay (the fighting at least) sucks. So don't ask how the game can go somewhere( a storyline) because it can at least have different fighting levels and computer players for missions/side quests to make some variation in the game. 4) golds piss me off at every corner I turn...enough said.

Clear some points up :)

1) Most of gold players stats are gained by fighting over golds. Being a gold raises a whole new level of challenge from which beating another gold is not only harder but more fun.

2) Why do you hate the dragon that much? It REALLY isn't that good at ALL! So it can kill a witch in one hit? Wow a single knight vs. a dragon the knight should win (blocks can occur but from my knowledge it makes no extra difference)

3) You obviously aren't good at english grammar because then you would of applied proper paragraphs from which we could not see a block of rubbish in front of us.

4) Call us communist all you want, it hasn't bothered us yet. Heck we have someone in here called The communist! Divine Right owns this forum, as far as I know he paid a little money into it so we could fully use it with features and such. 5) Now your idea of tactics is SO blatantly wrong its silly. Tacitcs is NOT about plot line, NOT about new units, NOT about new attacks, NOT about new stats. Seriously, if your going to try and compare this game to an already bad game (No Final Fantasy game past 7 was good, period.) then your so wrong you might as well just leave now. TACTICS is about TACTICS which suprise suprise, this game is! Want another example? CHESS! One of the biggest games in the world, diversed as one of the best games. Does it has plotlines and new stats and units and special attacks? Nope! Is it more popular than most games on this planet? Yep. What do you think this game was based upon?

Now the thing about money concerns me... we have no problem with how we spend our money so why should you? Some of us pay for extra units, some pay for the ability to speak freely, some of us pay for our stats to be kept (And when you fight only golds then your stats mean something :). I know no one who paid for gold to get an advantage over greys. I was a grey from November 03 until a week ago, I bested alot of good greys, why did I upgrade?

1) Because I wanted a new challenge. Grey tactics get boring after awhile, most can not use them and most stumble.
2) Because I want to support this game and its community so it stays up :)

How many people do you think have whined and complained about golds? How many do you think have been listened too? Your comments are falling now on deaf ears. 2) Without gold accounts, this game would not exist. Here is why. There are, right now, over 180,000 accounts. One hundred Eighty THOUSAND. Do you know how many of those accounts are paid for? 1,400. That equals about .8% For these purposes, I am going to assume, that on average, each person has 2 accounts.

Here is it in another term. 1.5% of the population supports EVERYONE ELSE. 1.5% of us contribute money for support and upgrades, and hopefully, someday, development. Do you know what 180,000 accounts would do to the old servers? I'll give you a hint, nothing, because there would BE no servers! They would have crashed before they hit the 100,000 mark. DKR... All this guy is, is a n00b. The only reason he hates dragons is because he doesn't know how to counter them. Kid, if they are unarmored, raise hell upon them, they DO die. If there are any invincible units out there, tell me, I will take a look.

Armored units always screw greys, but you haven't thought it through fully. Maybe if you concetrate on one unit, it will STILL DIE. Sure, dragons are a pain in the ass, even to golds, attacking them with melee units can get annoying because you are just puting right next to the dragon for a hit and run thingy.

If you are sick of a unit, then just paralyze it, however you need to be smarter than your opponent to do that, which in your case, looks unlikely. You will find that the Dragon is still a balance creature, it only deals 28 damage to ONE unit.

When you look at the game carefully, you will notice that these things had more depth than you looked at, thus your comments were made in vain. Just don't try this again, you are WRONG.

Did you know you are giving up 2 units, possibly knights for one dragon? Knights can move 6 spaces every 2 turns while dragons only move 4... IT IS BALANCED. We do not need a unit like this to make the dragon a worse unit. Yes I use one with my furgy, it just goes to show you that you can still make bad units work for you very well if used right.and so on. You’re saying that if I flip a quarter and it lands on heads (50%) that the next time I flip it, it has to land on tails to fulfill the ratio. Go try it…moron. I’ve had witches block 3 times in a row one from the side. There was another time that I had a knight get attacked from the front successfully twice in a row…those ratios don’t add up do they? High percentage is high percentage and low percentage is low percentage. There is no way that you can prove (according to this game) that 40% is worse than 80%. You think a "sponsor" would pay for the game? You obviously have no idea how the real world works. There are 4 servers running here. The main 3 run a flash system, and with the bandwidth and minimum 200 connections, goes for roughly $500 a month for low grade servers. That is $1500 a month for 3 servers to be actiuve. Trust me, the little ads you see on the website do NOT make that kind of money. Even websites with real good sponsors barely pay their webspace costs.
Flash Studios IS the "sponsor" for the game. They also pay a portion of the money from golds to the games creator, Seed.

To do as you want, and make it "free" to all, woulld great;y limit the game. Legends has much the same problem. It was a one time payment to upgreade there. And guess what? After the players leveled off, there was no continuing influc of money.

As for like/dislike of the dragon, I accept your opinion on it. Everyone deserves opinions, and should be allowed to voice them. But get your facts straight when you start planning on how to make the game free to all.
