is it me or do pyromancers seem like they have a lot more blocking ability than just 33%... I've noticed since I started playing they block about as much as my scout seems to (quite a lot)... frustrating.

It just so happened that the pyro got lucky and blocked a few more shots than you would normally think it would.


Put it this way: It may seem impossible that a coin can be tossed 100 times and never land heads up. It's unlikely, but it's not impossible.

I think people just don't comprehend (There is a difference between understanding and comprehending) how often 33% is. I think they see more as "Oh, it's less than 50%, which means I should hit. *block* Grr, well, that was a pain. Anyways, the last time it blocked, which means this time, it has to hit! *block* OMGWTFBBQIT++!"

33% is about a third (1/3) which is a lot more than you think it is.

By "Nothing Wrong" I mean "Not out-of-the-ordinary" if you see what I mean.

If you really lose that many games because of that then I feel deeply sorry for you. Truly, I do. No-one deserves to have the results of randomness constantly in the favour of their enemies.

But the universe doesn't care. It doesn't grasp the concept of "favourable" outcomes. It just gives the outcome and.... well.... as far as the universe is concerned, that's it.

Well the way i think of it; Yeah it make be unlikely a pyro will block 3 times in a row but it is bound to happen. If you think of the amount of games played on TAO, there may be a hundred times where the pryo hasn't blocked, but when it does, the one person it happened to has a blocking rant, making people think something is up with blocking odds.

actually its not your fault my damn computer wouldnt let me type it just highlighted everything past where i clicked. then it would let me type periods. i didnt feell like writing the whole post agin so i sent it and then restarted my computer.

Cuathon, it did make you look dumb, but I assumed it to be a typographical error, and ignored it. Everyone knows chanties don't block.

ive had that siggy forever. i just never bothered to change it after i realized how stupid it was. i think ill fix it now.

i dont now why i posted that. i was bored and there were no good players on. plus it was at 5 in the morning. you dont need to be awake and alert to play agaisnt greys on at 5 in the morning so i just wake up early and get a few points for my grey.

as previously stated it would have made a little more sense if my computer hadnt fucked up. (i still woulda looked dumb though.)
