So your dad kick you off of the internet because he thinks that your friend put a virus on the computer?
Right...
Does your dad know that most spyware/viruses/malware/adware comes from improper security measures while using Internet Explorer? Does he know how hard it would be for your friend to contain a virus, compile the code, copy it to a disc/email it to you, and run it?
People are not very intelligent about computers and networks, are they? Plus, that punishment is stupid. Couldn't you be spending time on the internet looking for a fix for the virus instead of pouting in your room being pissed at your dad?

Banned from the net . . . . . You have my pity.
I say you should explain the stuff third mentioned to your dad. See if you can convince him it wasn't your fault. Because we all know it wasn't.

That sucks, Havoc. Some parents have no clue about computers and they get paranoid. Maybe he'll come to his senses.

He was just here. I'm sure he'll go over to his friend's house *a lot* more now that he can't get on the internet at home.

I'm sure you're right, mosher. As Steven Tyler said....." It's the same old story, same old song and dance."
