    Wink Valkyrie

    VALKYRIE


    These female warriors are a welcome party member in any army, they are a balanced, fierce, and loyal to anyone who fights by their side.
    They are a decent fighter to start with but when a party member has fallen below 40% health the valkyrie gets enraged and uses her ancestral powers to defend her friends in battle.

    VALKYRIE STATS
    HP:42
    POWER:17 (when enraged attack becomes unblockable)
    ARMOR:16%
    MOVEMENT:3
    BLOCKING:70%
    RECOVERY:1


    This unit can hit a unit 2 spaces away from itself like the beast rider, but cannot hit 2 units like the beast rider can,(penetrating the first unit hitting second) it also hits on the diagonal so you can hide behind a wall of knights and poke away!.

    SPECIAL ATTACK
    The valkyrie will get the title "VENGEFULL" if she stands within 2 spaces of a fellow unit that is below 40% health, here is where she becomes deadly! her attacks now become unblockable 17 DAMAGE UNBLOCKABLE! pretty sweet, it outguns a DT in 2 turns!

    here are the stats of fellow units health to make your VALKYRIE'S attacks unblockable


    KNIGHT:20
    ASSASIN:14
    SCOUT:16
    BR:15
    ALL GOLEMS:24
    WISP:14
    DRAGON TYRANT!!!>>> (27 health!)

    (wards don't count because they are not living)
    ECT... you get the picture...it is great paired with DT'S, knights, and golems but almost any other unit is gonna get killed after that and the valkryie will lose her ability.

    EEPS! think of a weakened stone golem paired with this unit!, very scary indeed.

    i know i made this unit idea before but i think i have revised it enough and made it into a female with a better story.

    She can withstand 2 knight hits, and after a heal can withstand a scout shot, unlike an assasin.
    perhaps she is a smidge too buff? tell me what joo think.

    i only see 2 things wrong with this unit
    1. she is a bit to strong on health
    2. you would either need a calculator or a good brain to figure 40% of the units health or TAO could put one in with the unit stats bit

    otehr than this i think its a good unit

    Percentage in Health isnt a good thing to do. I think it was Cross Punisher that pointed it out before, but if it is at...lets say for example : 5.5 if it rounds up, it is not 40% anymore, but greater. Just use a solid number like 12 or something.

    as for the enraged attack. It seems alright, I can see how you tried to balance it out with the low health. But the fact that it can outgun a DT in half the time...just sounds a bit overpowered. You did an okay job, keep trying bro

    OK both wise suggestions so i will say any fellow unit that has 20 hp (POSSIBLY 18) remaining or less will activate her attack.

    that way she won't remain in enraged mode for a long time, as the fellow unit has a good chance of dying first before she gets a 2nd unblockable attack in!

    hmmm, still overpowered, but thats just me. If you could keep a unit alive under 20 hp in the endgame and you have this unit. The other team might as well as surrender. And i have a question, does she become enraged when shes next to the hurt unit, or just if there is one on the field. Im confused on that

    ONLY when she is within 2 spaces of a friendly unit that is wounded.
    True i got tweaking to do but realy to a knight it only does 13 damage!

    if i say 17 or below hp maybe that would rock...because 17 is a magical number to knights hee hee.

    I think it is underpowered or balanced, but if i would have an upgrade i would put its movement to 4.

    I think this is underpowered. Compared with the knight, she is weaker in every way - weaker enoguh to make her a poor unit normally. When a friendly unit is hurt enough, she goes up to the equivalent of 26 damage blockable - good, but not enough to balance out the disadvantage the rest of the time in my opinion. Also, she is subject to the same difficulty as the pyromancer, that 17 damage is just not very much, even for unblockable. Perhaps give her 22 power? That will make her unblockable attack a meaningful advantage, but the other stats will still make her worse than the kngiht normally.
    As for HP, less than 18 is probably a good rule. I see no problem with percentages , actually, since it shouldn't be too hard to keep the rounding out of the picture (always round up and health must be less than 40%, or always round down and health must be less than or equal to 40%). Also, the percentages will end up in a table, just like damage with armor does now.
    This doesn't really outgun the DT. The DT's advantage is in the occasional single shot, while the knight's is in the continuous damage. This unit has a weaker single shot than anything but the pyromancer or muddy special, and a weaker continuous damage than any melee unit.

    Yes scb you are right, it is inferior to the knight in amost all aspects.

    This unit has several distinct advantages over other mele units, these are the
    advantages over

    Assasin : 7 more hp,4% more armor, able to hit a unit 2 squares in front of it ( also hits diagonaly)

    Scout : 2 more hp, 8% more armor, 10% more blocking, and 1 recovery

    Beast rider : 4 more hp, 25% more blocking (able to hit on diagonal)

    Over a knight the only advantage is it can hit on diagonal, and can hit a unit from 2 squares away (5 max range) where a knight has a max range of 4.

    IF upped the power to 18-19 then i don't see any valid arguments to it being underpowered, i would be keen to say 18....... because 19 might make it too powerful. It is slightly more powerful than an assasin , beast rider, or a scout ( minus the 4 movement these units have), but still inferior to the knight.

    i think it is balanced and a welcome addition to the mele class units.

    Two things :

    1 - This is his idea, in no way should he have to change something just b/c it was suggested.

    2 - Personally, I got to thinking and I relized how the % hit would be calculated off a diagnole hit. When you think about it the percent shouldnt really change...then agian, It should change

    But all melee units except the knight have 4 movement. Three movement is the knight's big disadvantage - and this unit has it.

    I like it...a lot. TAO is lacking some feminine power these days anyways. Great job explaining it i think..and even the picture..sweet.

    I don't think it should be able to attack diagonal though..just kinda cheap-ish.
