    Kobold

    KOBOLD (miner)

Kobolds are small lizard like creatures who go about their daily task of mining precious magic stones. But the glow of those magic stones can blind the kobolds moral sense, and they will do anything to feel the stones glowing aura in their hands.

    Kobold stats:
    HP:40
    POWER:10 (unblockable)
    ARMOR: 8%
    BLOCKING: 45%
    MOVEMENT:4
    RECOVERY:1

The kobolds use large magic stones to mine for more magic stones, the stones auras increase in brightness and radius when they have dug closer to a deposit of stones.

Their regular attack consists of them slamming a magic shard into the ground (1 range any adjacent unoccupied tile)if tile is occupied the kobolt will hit the opponent with the shard for 10 unblockable damage. this shard serves 2 purposes
#1 serves as a physical barrier.
#2 the shard now eminates a potent magic that damages any unit standing by it 5 damage every turn..... if an opponent (or yourself) choose to destroy the shard, the shard shatters dealing 10 damage to any units surrounding the shard!... plus 5 damage to any unit 2 tiles surrounding.

I see this as a cool unit with tactical abilities it could very well give a rushing knight headaches, the fact is would be hard for a knight to kill this 1 on 1 Why do i say this? although the knight can dispatch this unit in 3 turns think of how many turns it REALY is going to take!
this unit can place a shard down ,retreat 4 spaces..by the time the knight reaches this unit the kobold can place another shard down! and the knight might have to re-route and take a long was around.
THERE IS NO LIMIT TO AMOUNT OF SHARDS THAT CAN BE PLACED IN THE GROUND!

    please give feedback.

Overpowered. The normal attack shouldn't be unblockable, it's a physical attack, and the unit has enough movement to get behind its attackers. The assassin gets away with 4 move and 1 wait b/c its attack is blockable, and its relatively weak. Your unit has a lot of health, it takes 3 hits to kill it (at the least). Plus, the little shard things are a pain in the ass. 5 every turn, and 10 if you kill it? All the kobold has to do is scurry up to a group of 2 or 3 units, put the shard down, and your opponent has to either sacrifice a turn and 10 damage to each unit, plus the original 5 (that's 15 per unit, and a wasted turn), or they have to use several turns to evacuate the units, and that still incurs 5 damage a turn. How is that fair?

Interesting description, but the unit isn't very balanced.

I think you outlined how overpowered this unit is in that paragraph right there. If it can dominate a knight (the most resilient unit in the game) something isn't right.

One small thing you forgot is the fact that the kobold is not IMMUNE to it's own shards! if it walks up and places one it is in the aura of effect!
So it will ITSELF incur 15 damage if your opponent hits the shard, and whatever your opponent unleashes after since the kobold will be in recovery!.

The dammage to your kobold with this "strategic" move would be
-14 with the destruction of the shard
-20 with the knight hitting it.
    total 34 dammage
    HP remaining:11

    Not a good strategy.
Unlike the furgon who can move and shrub, this unit will damage itself by doing that! it first has to move/wait, place shard and move to be truly effective. Or plant shard and walk away!

Plus the fact any range unit could snipe this "dork" of a unit if it chose to place a shard beside itself! BOOM! self inflicted 15 damage and the removal of the shard, nice!

But perhaps it could use a reduction in HP maybe a solid 38?
    seems viable....

    Here is the HP breakdown

    45 hp
2 knight hits (5 hp left) HEAL 12/ hp at 17 Hmmmmm can anyone say scout shot? unit is dead.

With 38 i feel it is too vulnerable to scouts
    One knight hit -20
    one scout shot -17
    hp remaining 1
with heal 13 but can be killed by anything!

    2 knight hits = death

MAYBE 43 HP is a bit odd but that might be za ticket! or perhaps 42?
38 hp is decent but by my standars just a smidge to weak.

40 hp would give this unit the ability to be killed in 2knight hits.......Scouts would have to hit it 3 times to kill it.. and with a heal would have to hit is 4 times 38-40 hp sounds right.
