Wyvern Egg

Heh, this unit begs to be brought up now and then. I am unsure how Seed feels about this "UNIT" since it had to do with all that illegal Artifice server mish mash hooplah and such. (i missed the whole thing only heard of it)
One enigma that always puzzled me was the EGG UNITthat supposedly is embedded in the games code. GIF'S jpegs of this "UNIT" were circulated and rumors abound, even rumors that a few VETS are privy enough to have retained these ancient relics of tao's past.

My take on it is that it looks like a cool unit to have in a set, from what i have accumulated it FLOATS while it is an egg... ANYWAY ENOUGH WITH THE RAMMBLING here is my version of the wyvern egg.

WYVERN EGG

This unit is realy not an egg at all, it is however a wyvern. The idea of it being an egg arises from it's UNIQUE defensive stance.It curls up into an egg shape, impervious to all damage afflicted upon it.

These wyverns are deadly predators and COMPETE with the deadly dragon tyrant for supremacy, they have struggled to survive against the VASTLY STRONGER/MORE POWERFUL TYRANTS but have evolved over many eons with them to become a fierce rival to the tyrants.They rely on speed, inteligence, and cunning to deliver death to their chosen opponent.



WYVERN STATS

HP:34
POWER:8 (8 on bite)
ARMOR:8%
BLOCKING: (100% when in egg stance) 0% regular stance
MOVEMENT:4
RECOVERY:2

This unit uses it's wings as weapons (8 unblockable each side) it slices through enemy defenses causing them damage when it moves ATTACK AND MOVE ARE DONE IN ONE MOVE so you will always have a 1 turn recovery when moving
NOW you have a choice! either you can BITE your opponent for an additional 8 damage(this leaves you defensless for 2 turns though so plan it well), or form your egglike defensive stance to remain unharmed by an enemy onslaught.



1 enemy attack will unfurl your defensive stance (causing no damage) but next turn you are as vulnerable as a whisp at a knight kegger party!

bill cosby voice (Yuseeee theoooooo..... this unit can bolster a knight wallin egg stance, take on a tyrant! and create unique sets, you have to focus on this nasty or he will get away with murdering your units......if you are the opponent.)

Catch my drifto on this unito? is it UNIQUE enough to be a sucsessful addition to TAO? Strong enough for a man but made for a woman? i can't belive it's not butter? it's not delivery IT'S DELICIO!

thats crazy, if u gusy didnt notice there are like 2 dragons, 2 dsms 5 knights, 4 stones, an egg....and some other crap. is tuff a mod acc? if so never heard of it

I declare this overpowered. Invincible to one attack every time it attacks? And its attack is 24 damage unblockable in many cases! Or, it can deal 34 damage, killing a pyromancer or witch. The egg form makes the attack basically a gained move if the opponent wants to kill this unit, so the opponent doesn't and it's more powerful than a knight...
Can it be healed when in egg form? I assume it can't be hurt by unblockable attacks.

What did the original egg do, anyway?

No heal upon egg form, it is impervious to harm in ALL ways untill a unit either hits it to UNFURL IT or uses a focus attack (FREEZE , OR PARALYZE )

perhaps to de-dub it's overpowered status i should lower attack to 8 unblockable? that way it's not a terror? but still can be very effective?

The mystery of what the other egg did is an answer few i believe posses.

I don't think anyone knows what the original egg did, it never was realesed to the public.

8 damage is good. The egg would be a mere annoyance that way, but with a strong power of 26 if you forego the invulnerability. It will probably be save dtill last, or sniped for the opening blow in a slow part of the game. Man, this is another unit that beats everythign else in the endgame. Nothing yet beats the frost golem, though.
Just out of curiousity, how will it fare against the unit I just evaluated? Hmmm... Wyvern wins. The battlemage would die in 2 good hits, and the wyvern can just stay in egg form. In fact, the wyvern will beat a knight one-on-one, even with the change!
Since it gets as much benefit from the egg for mas from its extra attack, how about having it get a wait of 2 regardless of whether it chooses to bite or go into egg form? That way, fast units will be able to kill it alone.

Um i think i will have to re-think that.
If i keep the wing attack, moving still takes 1 turn.
You either bite, or go into egg form

move +bite= 2 turn wait.
move + egg= 2 turn wait.

turn into egg= 1 turn

i still see ample opportunity to kill this unit! am i missing something? sure you COULD just keep egging yourself keeping stationary, but what is your opponent doing durring that time? .........setting you up...........

You can't bite then egg up it's either or, not both.

If you move with it and egg up you have a 2 turn wait , now your opponent hits the egg with an arrow "YOU ARE NOW OPEN" and on the next turn your opponent can deal 20 damage with a knight!... now do you heal? or egg up?
if you heal after a knight hit you sit at 32 another knight hit you are at 12....

ok so this unit has a durrability factor.....Hmmmmmmmmm should i drop HP as well? to a whisplike 30?

What is to bee seen is the fact magic users that do spread damage would be greater utilized against this beast.
