    Wink Mana Torch

    MANA TORCH

These contraptions are meant to grant magical powers in battle to those who do not have such!

    MANA TORCH STATS:
    HP:48
    POWER: +7 (focus)
    ARMOR:8%
    BLOCKING:100%
    RECOVERY:3
    RANGE: 4 SQUARES

Basicaly this contraption grants mele attackers +7 unblockability.
    >( +7 ONLY if opponent blocks) it is not +7 power<

This contraption takes up one unit slot.

So in effect if an opponent blocks a scout arrow (knight) the knight will take 5 damage.

This unit is meant to be used to finish off weak units that have high blocking.
In a game that has no clerics or it has been killed it it a great boon to any formation! you literaly can't lose by attacking!
only thing is the cleric can heal most of that unblockable damage.

The manna torch does not work with assassin special, muddquake, furgon shrub,(frost golem, enchantress, whisp)

To broken? i think i might power it down a little but not by much, would it not be an interesting piece?

Think of slowly destroying your opponents LW (endgame scenario) with a scout...you fire a few shots from the safety of your own LW and destroy the opponents LW and now the opponent has no choice! no where to run!

Also can be used to snipe off pesky BW'S i hate them with a passion... no longer will mele units have to wait for these lil *^%$#'s to go into focus to harm them!

Yes i agree i like this unit though. It shouldnt affect wisps, anyway. They will do 11 damage then thats pretty overpowered dont u think?

Umm... are you two retarded? It's an overpowered pyro. Better in just about every way.

Ur the only retard here. Its a contraption - cannot move, doesnt count as endgame - thats not like pyro. Barrier ward can make ur units invulnerable and ne1 considered that its overpowered. This works the same way and +7 damage isnt so much

+7 super dragonspeaker = walking lightning ward

Or a damage advantage of 3.5, when given to a melee unit. 3.5? This is the ultimate destructive power. No good.

That +7 will make just about anything overpowered, and can be moved from unit to unit as necessary. The power bonus ability is old and no better in this unit than before.

    Well you ...

    A. Don't talk like you have an IQ over 70. It's hard for me to understand what you're saying becuz u tlk liek dis du u no wut im sayin?
    B. Mk. So... Scout being able to take out cleric 1 hit isn't overpowered. GA being able to take out cleric 1 hit isn't overpowered. DSM can have +7 and +12, 34 damage.
    C. Barrier ward makes you invulnerable, however it's not overpowered because... 1. You can't heal them whilst barriered.
    2. Any time you attack you must re-barrier
    3. It can't do damage to a cleric on the first turn.
    4. When focus is broken, it stops protecting
    5. It's not designed to counter a specific unit.

Thank you all for posting your oppinions on my unit, i appreciate it very much.

but one thing i thought i made clear is that it does NOT add attack power to a sucsessful mele attack. It makes it so that a mele unit never goes unsucsessful when attacking. If your (MANNA TORCH ENHANCED knight) sucsessfuly hit's an opponents unit you will cause no additional damage, it is when the opponent blocks your attack that this EFFECT comes into play. You will now cause the unit to take 7 unblockable damage

So can you see the difference?

IT IS >>>>+7 unblockable on unsucessful attacks AKA BLOCKED
    not 22 + 7 unblockable.

Hope you see the difference and the tactical but not overpowered ability.

And yes it is focus like stone golem, characters can move out of radius and maintain ability..

As for pyromancers please read just a little more carefuly, it will not make the regular pyro deal ( 15 + 7 =22 damage) not a chance!

What it will do is increase the radius of the pyro shot by 1 square.( think enchantress) and on those newly aquired squares you will do 7 damage.. the original pyro radius will remain at 15.....

Hope you see the difference and the tactical but not overpowered ability.

Umm... attacking things with barriers intentionally?

( barriers still do their job) it's the wards that now become threatened both LW and BW are subject to the 7 unblockable.

But barriers still provide invulnrability to the mana effectaka magic.

barriers made by the barrier wards are still invulnerable to all attacks.

    Thumbs up

I love your drawing and units! Oh and about the Kobold a while ago. Did you copy that from a book called "The Revenge of the Shadow King"? Because in that book, Kobolds used to be miners. They could see through walls and such.
Well anyways, I think this unit would make the game VERY different.
    Im officially bored

Thnx THY_MAGE i appreciate you commenting on an old ( and in my view underviewed/ undercommented unit!)

here is a lazy cut and paste of wilikipediahhh!

Kobolds are spirits of German folklore. The name comes from the German word kobalt or kobold meaning "evil spirit", and is often translated in English as goblin.

The most common version, Heinzelmännchen, is similar to Robin Goodfellow and brownies: as household elves of ambivalent nature, they sometimes perform domestic chores, but play malicious tricks if not appeased (Hinzelmann is a particular example).

Kobold is often used in German to translate the word 'Leprechaun', a type of Irish fairy goblin.

Another type of kobold, more similar to the gnome, haunts mines and other underground places. The name of the element cobalt comes from kobold, after the poisonous and troublesome nature of the typical arsenical ores of this metal (cobaltite and smaltite) which polluted other mined elements (compare nickel).

"Kobold" is also an uncommon surname found in German speaking areas.

So yeagh i did not create this unit name or general appearance. (what i did however do is gave it an original attack, balanced stats, and a wee bit of originality.)It is just as much as i can say if i created a medusa/cyclops/ or a dragon. What realy matters is how this unit fits into tao stat wise. And i am thankful of the fact you mentioned that THY_MAGE.

I really like the concept of this unit! All those darn unlucky blocks would actually do a little damage for me...
