    Talking Ravager

    RAVAGER



    These fearsome beasts lurk deep within the forrests, seeking out unsuspecting prey, they must kill what they see, that is their only aim to eat or be eaten, that is why this breed of beast is so strong, the weak ones always die by being killed by tyrants or by other ravages. Their is no backing down,that is the law of the ravage.

    If it gets attacked the ravage will get angry and want revenge.Their is no hesitation in it's movements it is pure instinct and the ravage attacks with unequaled ferocity.

    RAVAGER STATS
    HP:42
    POWER:21
    ARMOR: 16%
    BLOCKING: 45%
    MOVEMENT:3
    RECOVERY:1 (if hit recovery becomes 0)
    RANGE: 1 ADJACENT SQUARE


    *SPECIAL ABILITY* when the ravager is struck and damaged, his recovery is done away with and you can attack the very turn after being attacked
    example: say you walk up to a knight and strike him (blocked)(your now have a 1 turn wait) the opponents knight now walks to your side and attempts to attack...he hits you ( YOUR RECOVERY IS NOW CLEAR!)you can attack him at will.


    think of how this unit performs when stoned!
    he will have 16% armor then +30 armor! think of how raaaaavaging that would be! it could wreak havok put inside enemy lines.

    knights would only do 12 damage to this beast stoned.... scout shots 10 damage! BR and assasin's would only do 11 damage! all the while the ravager is weaking 0 RECOVERY HAVOK on any opponents formations! thats basicaly 4+ turns that the enemy is trying to dispatch the ravager trying to kill it...... meantime the ravager is DISHING OUT 21 POWER HITS ON CONSECUTIVE TURNS ON ASSORTED UNITS within the formations. TALK ABOUT POWER!

    - POTENTIAL 0 RECOVERY
    - THIS UNIT IS PIMP STONED!

    -LOW BLOCKING

    No not anything bad, I do like it. I thought it was kinda funny when it said, Lets say when a knight moves to your side and attacks you, its a successful hit but then you attack it. I say that makes it overpowered if thats like attacking 2 times in 1 turn, well if they are both successful hits. I may have read it wrong, so if I did im sorry

    Aha the little explanation about it is kinda corny...but i've seen many units like this one before...it's one of the better i've seen tho...but one question if it only has a one turn wait than the whole do away with it is kinda pointless...do you get my point? Ummm but otherwise I tihnk it's too much like the knight...

    the little tweak is not reeealy usEless

    think of it this way.

    if the RAVAGE aproached a knight and swung and the knight blocked, then the knight sucsessfuly hits you..your recovery is now clear. otherwise you would be waiting another turn to attack...... this way you can either attack the knight again and move away further or move 3 squares and attack another unit.

    you see, sometimes it is a 0 recovery unit! you can HIT,(opponents turn he hits you) you can HIT ( opponent is in waiting.) see?

    a knight has to HIT ( now opponents turn he hits you) ...you wait ( opponent waits..) now you can hit...see the difference?

    a slight change...if your opponent attacks continously, the ravage will have 0 recovery.

    but for this unit to be of any benifit one must attempt to attack with this unit first...thus reaping the benefits of the cleared recovery.

    I dont think one can make units as powerful as knights anymore, they have to be significantly lower due to the issue of balance and having an OVERPOWERED MELE FORMATION.

    this unit is balanced .

    can you say PIMP STONED!

    Yeah now that i thought about it..it's not a completely useless special and it is different but, i still think it resembles a knight too much for my liking..good work tho

    well then this units is well better then the beserker.....
    what if the beserker hit it would it still lose its recovery time ? or what if it was poisoned ?

    YAAAAR.......... those are very good questions, i was thinkin about the poison last night and was unsure how to handle that.

    Not to take anything away from these units i think that is their speciality, so when the ravager gets poisoned i think the whisp's poison should still affect its recovery....after all it's a status effect..

    And as for the berserker.........Hmmmmmmm. tough one , the berserker is slightly weaker as it is and therre is no need to make it weaker.

    If the ravager is in recovery tho and is hit by the berserker that theoreticaly makes the ravager have +2 recovery....now with the ravagers (recovery ability) i think it should merely make it 1 recovery at the time of the berserker strike... other than that i think the ravager should still want revenge....but i could be wrong on this one.....hardly anyone uses a BERSERKER nowdays...so perhaps the berserker SHOULD STUN IT!.

    Oh my god! The ability is not too unique, but I applaud you for the effort put into this unit, no sarcasm. I like the pictures, and the unit on the board. As for the actual unit, try to find a more unique ability, because any quick melee unit can almost harness this ability aready, with the exception of being hit by a Berserker. But still, the unit is balanced; great effort. I'll rep you when I can.

    Almost dosent count, but i do see your point.

    This units special ability gives it the opportunity to have 0 recovery.
    red= enemy green= your ravager

    ravager aproaches knight and attacks knight (ATTACK BLOCKED)
    Knight moves and attacks ravager (ATTACK HITS!)
    RAVAGERS RECOVERY IS CLEAR! (ravager moves and attacks knight from side Ravager hits!)
    knight waits
    ravager waits.

    If you are the unit to attack first, you potentialy gain the bonus of being able to hit another unit directly after being attacked......NO OTHER UNIT HAS THIS ABILITY!.

    Its a killer in certain situations where their is a tight battle going on, if this unit was near an important unit and hit it the opponent would be wary of attacking the RAVAGER due to the fact it would attack again directly afterward! or in a turtle this unit could come from behind a knight wall to attack a unit (either hit or block) and if the opponent retaliates, the ravager if hit can now attack that same unit and move back inside the turtle.

    This is a small tweak,...usless if the enemy hits you first(if you have no recovery) you would be able to attack and move anyways.

    Hmmm...

    I kinda like it, but it's a bit 2 much like a weak knight. Maybe if it had a different, more powerful atack or higher blocking, that would make it better than a knight.

    Also i like the special ability. Nice, original idea!

    I would choose this over 3 knights anyday, since 3 knights is the limit. I prefer 3 Ravagers instead of 3 knights is what im saying. No matter what it wil hit a unit unless they got a range attack. But w/e

    this is way unballanced. You essentially don't have any wait time. Let's face it, the only problem with a wait time is that it leaves your unit vulnerable to attack. That's the ENTIRE tactic of this game: attack whilst minimizing the damage during your wait time. It's why you don't move your scout up to your enemy, but use him from afar: so his wait time is spent guarded by supporting units.

    See all those times you say "pimped stoned"? That very clearly shows it's unballanced. Sure, it would do a tremendous amount of damage, but so would a knight with an attack of 100 and double armor. It takes no skill to make something overpowered. the skill is in ballancing your unit, and you simply haven't done it in this case.

    so either it's gonna get sniped from afar and taken down long before it gets behind enemy lines. Or if it gets there quickly will do a ton of damage with no wait. either way it seems to bypass a major part of this game...
