    Amplification Ward

    The magic users of this world are always looking for new ways to increase their powerful spells and abilities through any means possible.

    One such way is through a new ward. It amplifies the existing powers of the damage dealing magic users (MELE UNITS NOT AFFECTED).

    One may automaticaly say OVERPOWERED! but not so... read below.

    Amplification Ward Stats
    HP: 45
    POWER: FOCUS ( +1 aoe (1/2 original damage)
    ARMOR: 0%
    BLOCKING: 100%
    MOVEMENT: immobile
    RECOVERY: 3
    RANGE: (cross shaped like stone golem..but amp ward must be in middle)

    What this ward does is improve the magic users attacks TREMENDOUSLY!

    As of now it would effect (dark magic witch, pyromancers,DSM'S,WHISPS, and DRAGON TYRANTS.) Undecided if frosts,enchantresses would be benefited.

    What this ward does is increase the AOE of a pyro shot or a DMW shot by 1
    but the new area of effect only does HALF the total damage of the original shot.

    So instead of a 5 square cross shaped pattern of attack for a pyro.. it would increase to an ENCHANTRESSLIKE RANGE! which is 2 squares around the target.... the original cross shaped pattern would deal 15 damage.. while the new extended AOE would do 7.

    It is better suited to For DMW since they will damage 4 squares for 24 damage but the new AOE will make them hit 9 squares in addition for 12 damage.

    The DT will PWN because he can travel faster and farther than his Mage counterparts.. imagine shooting an opponents mage for 28 damage.. and damaging the surrounding units by 14 AT THE SAME TIME! NASTYYYIE!

    I may have to tone it down but as of now it seems to rule as is.
    Does it make sense to you guys?

    All this unit does is "amplify or enlarge" the AREA OF EFFECT that a mage can attack.. it does not add to the OVERALL power of the mage, but it increases the range and versatility.
    Is it too broken?

    Below is a CODE of the extended AOE and how it affects a regular pyromancer.....

    Here is a sampling of a Dark Magic Witch with Extra AOE due to the amp ward.

    I hope this clears this unit up a bit.. code takes longer than i would like.

    overpowered if it can effect 4 units at once. It is like a turtle for bombers units would die before they could even get a chance to "deward." Now if it can only effect one unit at a time then maybe it has a chance. Though the fact that it is a ward and immobile may make it underpowered. Also the fact that it can only help mages would make it pointless. It would help noobs who do it to a dsm then burn like a pyro but with dragon strength but no vet would take the time to power up like that because against another good player they wouldnt have time. The other player would just shoot the ward and the game would go on as if nothing happened. Good concept but think about a better way to do it.

    Way overpwered, imagins a dsm, pyro wisp and DT all aroudn it, with other pyros in formation the DSm and pyro would automaticlla be bteer, but the other pyros would gain from the drags extar power to, imagine a encantress shape cross burning aroudn 15-30 damage (cant be bothered to work out properly).

    If it had a focus spell it would be better, and a longer wait turn too, aroudm 4 i would say

    Eh, it's alright. About that dragon doing 14 damage to a lot of units.... Not that big of a deal. One heal and the damage is practically countered and if any of the targeted units have armour, nothing really happens. But then again, if you're against a mad bomber (DSM, DMW, DT, Pyros, Wisp), they're gonna keep hitting you and you won't be able to keep up with the damage they're dealing.
    I also don't think that Frosts or Chants should benefit from this because their range would be ridiculous. Gotta love them whisps though :P

    u should make it so that you have to be in range of the ward and to lower orginal damage by like 1/3 or something

    Ok so it's rejected, like 99.999% of all CAU units that never make it in game.

    Why is it overpowered tho?

    The very fact that 5 of your units will be placed in a cross shaped pattern makes them extremely vulnerable.... and your strategy very transparent...
    Your opponent will without a doubt know where you will most likely keep your spellcasters......around the ward.

    The placement of the AMP WARD would also be crucial, unlike the stone golem who benefits from opposite side matches, the AMP ward probably suffers more.. due to the fact only the whisp and dragon can get a reasonable distance from the ward to do some damage before the focus is broken.

    I like this idea because it extends the whisps capabilities tremendously... imagine what HAVOC the whisp could create poisoning behind a shrub wall!

    This AMP ward with a pure bomb would still fare badly against a mele rush.. no matter the formation.. because 1) you AW 4 units then your opponent either breaks focus with his BR/Whisp/Or a well placed Mudd golem pound.
    You now have to heal in the event of a muddpound because your mages are ripe 4 da pickinz....once you heal your opponent can attack you again..further destroying your set.


    But i do see it's tremendous usages.

    you werent around in the days of the bombers ... a good bomber easily win over a melee rush. With this added boost it would just make it not fun.
