Here's the flaw in your argument: we both act the same way in both forums. So, how is it that me correcting noobs here produces engaging discussions, yet me correcting noobs there produces "go back to FPS, you don't belong here, you aren't welcomed here"? Abortion, religion, how mods ought to act - all concepts I've addressed in both places, yet the response is drastically different. The tone of the "go back to ____" is much different, and much more exclusionary at Legends. It's rare to see someone get a "go back to legends" here if they make intelligent posts, yet EVERYONE who started here and goes to LF, regardless of content or contribution, is wholly excluded from discussion.

Ah, I was wondering if somebody would bring that up. But I wouldn't call it a flaw so much as merely incompletely addressed. Somehow I gave you the impression that legends doesn't have snobby people. No sir, snobby people exist on both sides of the fence. I have a good attitude and friendly personality, and yet I've been treated like dirt on these forums by a few individuals. The most offensive was when I was having a debate with somebody and they wrote a reply that dismissed my arguments on the basis that I'm from legends. I didn't do anything to deserve such treatment except for the mere fact that I was from legends. He wasn't joking, either. He even apologized for his closed-mindedness as he gave it to me point blank. It was the most appalling case of anti-legends attitude I had ever seen. It's like racism. My respect for the guy dropped down to zero, so I immediate quit discussing the topic with him. But do I take this and start making generalized statements about how FPS people are "racist"? Even mostly "racist"? No, that's a fallacy. The truth is, he represents the minority. But the sad fact is, few people give him a good example.

So when you bend your tenacious debative ways upon somebody, their reaction can be influenced by a number of factors. Family tends to be more tolerant than strangers. Teammates tend to be more tolerant than the competition. People who agree with you are more tolerant than those who don't agree with you and think you're biased. But, despite this, it is possible to win respect from family, strangers, teammates, and competition.

So don't be surprised if you go on legends forums and try to defend FPS and people start yelling at you and dismissing you as biased. Is this not normal human behavior that can be found anywhere?

Legenders do it because FPSers make them rage.

My entire point is that it was based on the individual, yet LF has a much less tolerance (I like the word choice you use) for people acting pompous or condescending (they're people... they do that... that doesn't make them bad or bannable). Which is where the "bandwagon" jumps in. If y'all really need someone to say it just so it's in text somewhere: yes, I'm aware that Bax is a giant arrogant dick. Nor do I really care--it's not a "personality flaw" (which is laughable based on many of the people who like to provide their "judgement" around both TAO anf LF)--it's just who he is. LF never really understood that and always assumed that he was trying to overthrow some sort of leadership (lol?) like everything that happened over there was so dire. They never quite grasped the concept that that's just who Bax is: he tells you exactly what he's thinking about you. Sorry I don't ban people for that, but if you ask me the best mods don't ban people at all--they make people fit in. We have a lot of people here that are VERY good at doing that. They didn't at LF. They are exclusive. It's how the culture of LF was born: out of the exclusivity of the staff. I refuse to ever do that and will (and have) advocated for people being fired because of it over here.

That whole mindset, dare I point out, is also incredibly ironic in regards to many Legenders; specifically: some of their staff who openly pick and choose who they ban off very little (from what I can see) formula. Just for the record: OS was/is one of the more arrogant dicks that I've ever met from anyone involved with TAO, yet he was treated like a God. Bax, Quin and myself--to a lesser extent, I normally go over just to pass information to the lounge--are generally treated like garbage. There is very little tolerance for conflicting minds. It's like going back to high school.

Essentially, I'm not really sure how you disagreed with me.
