Attack: Elite knight attacks all adjacent squares up to 1 square away by sweeping his mace around himself.
Looks: A knight, only instead of a sword he has a mace, Black armor, and spikey helmet.

I like the thought of some units being elite. But insted of winning them or somthing, you have a small chance after every win to have a unit that is still alive be upgraded to elite. So, you could have elites of every unit. Or mabey just human units, an elite stone golem sounds kind of cheep

Thats a bit overpowered.... Perhaps bring down his power to 25 and have a 3 turn recovery... or decrease his movement and have 3 turn recovery

hmm... if things were to get to powerful, would that detract from the fun for new people? That elite Knight would obliterate people ... guess you'd have to tone him down ....

I'm against anything being elite.

The things said in here already are my main reasons..

-everyone who gotit would field it (so much for different strats)
-the whole game would be about this unit

I mean come on.. I want an elite unit that attacks and then all the opponents units DIE..

wtfis the fun in that..

name of the game: TACTICSarena... not POWERPLAY/BASHNEWBIE arena

you get most different strats and best tactics is most units are equally strong.. IF you use em right and in the right combination

Sort of different?

Well, in a way i like the idea of elite units but instead of having them be newbie slaughters why not try this...

After every battle there is a small chance that one of your surviving units *not wards* becomes elite, however, being elite only means that it gains either a few extra hp, a little armor, or some power *nice for clerics* rather then creating some god unit that merely laughs when something tries to attack it. And of course once a unit becomes elite it can't continue to gain extra 'eliteness'. You could even limit it to the fact that when an elite unit dies, it goes back to normal. You could even have something like normal, veteran, and elite. And of course they would have very minor tweaks.

Thus, it would be only a tiny boost to your army.

You'd have to have shiny new armor for those minor tweaks. I'd be happy with something with no tweaks for some shiny ninja armor for my knight or something like that...
