A few ideas
6-8 different unit types (sort-of like the current human and golem units)
A defend option for in-game where if you don't want to move or attack a unit, you can put him in defense mode in-which damage to him or her is decreased, and the probability for getting hit is decreased. And different battleground types, such as the normal current one (with different landscape types such as lava, grass, snow, desert, swamp, and forest) and stuff like sieges, maybe ones in-which more than one person can fight in, 2 vs 2 types, and maybe even a capture the flag type.

yeah i like your idea about different fields, and different areas could give certain units advantadges ans other disadvantages... like in yugioh

Hadn't thought of it in that sense, but yes that works.
The idea I'm most interested in is something like a literal siege mode. One player has a castle of some sort and has to defend it, and also gets ballistas, extra archers, and other things like that. And the attacker gets siege weapons.
