All right, this is an idea I had for a tourney myself. The only inspiration for this was to see what form of strategy would prevail between rushes and turtles in the long term when you are not allowed to reset your units.

Here's the rules.

- There are NO preset tournament brackets. This is a no-holds-barred tournament, which means you can freely challenge anyone else involved in the tourney, whether in game, via PM, or requests in this thread. Incidentally, I want all of you to post your primary servers.

- There is only one round to this tourney. There are two winners:
1: Last man standing. You must have fought AT LEAST two fights apon being the last man standing: The first being any fight in particular, and the second knocking out the other last person standing. If you have not a single fight before the final, tournament deciding game, you are disqualified. (This is to ensure someone doesn't bide their time until the last match and beat an embattled unit into victory.)
2: Most units destroyed. I will ask people to post screenshots after the fight and how many units they destroyed in the process. Most total units destroyed is declared the second winner, even if s/he isn't the last one standing.

- ALL games are freestyle unless you and your opponent both agree to a turtle game. If you turtle and your opponent rushes, whine about it to someone who cares--nobody will be restricted in what form they choose.

- Incidentally, you will be limited to these units (organized alphabetically):

1 Furgon

So basically, basic grey and Gold units. No drops, or we'd end up with a flurry of perverted forms in this tourney.

- Any units you lose are LOST PERMANENTLY. If person A fights a game with person B, and wins with seven units left, then they are only able to use those seven units, so choose your units carefully. Person A will go on to fight person C when challenged or when initiating a challenge, but person A loses to percon C by four units. Person C can only use those four units against whoever he faces next. This is much like the Tag Team tourneys, only there are no teams, and no brackets. Anyone and everyone in the tournament is your enemy at any given time.

- You may report a battle victory/loss in TWO ways:
1: Screenshot. Plain and simple... With a Screenshot, I do not need ANY verification of who won and who lost. By keeping proper track of who else the two participants fought, I can determine who lost what units to which people, and judge their unit kills accordingly.

2: Text. If you post a text declaration of victory, state WHAT YOUR REMAINING UNITS ARE, AND HOW MANY UNITS EACH OF YOU KILLED. I also need your opponents' verification, to make sure you aren't lying.

EDIT: Win/loss rules:

- If a person leaves the arena for any reason, be it disqualification or surrender, they are disqualified permanently, and the winner fights on with his remaining units.

- If a draw occurs, both people are able to fight again, although they are only able to fight with the units each preserved through their battle.

- If an opponent refuses a fight for ANY reason whatsoever, post a screenshot and I will resolve the matter personally. Anyone who refuses a fight without good reason will be disqualified.

I expect this to be a short round, however should things get messy anyone who goes a week without fighting will be disqualified.

Hooray! Someone might join my tourney.

I do hope this catches on, as I believe it to be a genuinely good idea if you're out to have some good fun. Unfortunately, a good number of tournaments here (everyone except the RTT tourney) have gone dead, so I hope a good tourney will break this tradition.

The problem I can see with ths is that people will just bide their time, beat a person with only one or two unit left, then win the final round. There's actually no incentive to play at all.

Bottle, Mithrandir, both of you need to read my rules. If someone bides for a week or until the final round without a single fight, they are immediately disqualified. FURTHERMORE, if anyone refuses a challenge without good reason, I will disqualify them. Primary servers are requested so people will know which server they are in. Between all these regulations, the only way someone can really bide their time is if someone lets them.

Nobody can bide their time while I'M the one running the show, I'll see to that.

Survive. This is a no-holds-barred freestyle tournament. You must either kill or be killed. Anyone who refuses to fight is disqualified, and thus "killed" in the same manner of war.

Due to the fact that any units you lose in a round are permanent, it gives you either of two choices: The first is to put the extremes on unit preservation to try and win with as many units as possible, and outlast your opponent; the second is to put the extremes on rushing and try and crush your opponent as quickly as possible, before they have the chance to kill many of yours.

Basically, I want to see which philosophy would hold truer in such a tournament.
