Exiled's Challenge Tournament.

[The Exile]

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to Exiled's Challenge Tournament.

The rules are simple. I will post challenges here, and it will be your job to go out and complete them!

Each challenge will have a reward attached to it indicative of its difficulty level. For example, if you complete challenge 1, you will gain 50 Challenge Points. However, once the challenge is completed by one person, the reward decreases by 10 points for the next completion... so you need to be quick defeating the challenges! The value for a challenge will never go below 10.

At the end of the tournament, the player with the most Challenge Points will be victorious. Perhaps a small prize can be arranged if one of the mods agrees. The tournament will last for several weeks, but remember, the sooner you complete the challenges the more points you will gain!

To complete a challenge satisfactorily, you need to take a clear screenshot of the start of the match, with the opponent's rating showing, and you saying "Challenge initiated", and another of the end of the match, saying "Challenge completed". THE SCREENSOT MUST SHOW THE FULL SCREEN, INCLUDING THE BAR SHOWING HOW MANY TAO WINDOWS YOU HAVE OPEN, to prevent cheating. Points will not be awarded if this rule is not obeyed. (new rule)

If the enemy surrenders, but it is clear that the challenge was going to be completed, you may gain the points at my discretion.

Challenge 1: Grey Flawless Challenge

Using only 8 grey units (second scout does not qualify), defeat any player with a rating 900 or greater without losing a unit yourself. Current Reward: 10 Challenge Points.

Using only 7 grey units (second scout does not qualify), defeat any player with a rating 950 or greater. You must have at least 4 units remaining. Current Reward: 10 Challenge Points.

Challenge 3: Freezer Madness Challenge

Using either 10 grey units, or 8 gold/grey units, freeze at least 6 enemy units, then win the game. You may not use more than 1 frost golem, and you may not use more than 2 enchantresses. Opponent must have a rating 850 or greater. Screenshots of the 6 frozen units are required as well as the beginning and end screenshots. Current Reward: 45 Challenge Points.

Challenge 4: Gold-only Challenge

Using ONLY golem units, beast units, and a single human unit of your choice, defeat another gold with rating 1200 or greater, or 900 or greater on Revelation. Current Reward: 15 Challenge Points.

Challenge 5: The Knights Who Say Nee

Using a furgon, 3 knights and 4 other units of your choice, defeat a 1250+ gold (900+ on Revelation). The furgon and at least 2 knights must survive the battle (so they can build their shrubbery). Nee! Current Reward: 35 Challenge Points.

Challenge 6: Healing Frenzy

You are permitted to use 1 cleric and any other 9 grey units, excluding further clerics. Your opponent must be rated above 950. During the battle, at least 4 of your units must be reduced to 5HP or less. Each unit has to be a different unit type (eg. knight, scout, assassin, pyro is permitted; 2 knights and 2 pyros are not). Screenshots of each must be taken with the cursor over the unit to indicate its HP level. Win the battle with 8 units remaining. This will require extra work (6 screenshots) so the reward (was) slightly higher: 35 Challenge Points.

Challenge 7: Chanty Rush

You may use any 10 grey units (this does NOT include the second scout). Your opponent must be rated above 950. You must paralyse the enemy cleric while the opponent still has at least 3 mobile attacking units remaining on the field. Then win the game. This requires 3 screenshots (start, end, and the cleric paralysed). Current Reward: 40 Challenge Points. (This challenge brought to you courtesy of CRX.)

Challenge 8: Double Turtle Challenge

You may use any 10 units excluding the dragon. Your initial position must be two "stone clusters" in either corner of the board, for example:

You must defeat a 1300+ gold (950+ on Revelation) with this formation, losing no more than 6 units yourself, and no more than 3 from each "cluster". Avoiding bombs is highly recommended . Current Reward: 55 Challenge Points.

Challenge 9: Protect The Foe

You may use any 10 grey units, including any drops, but not the second scout. During the battle, one of each enemy mobile unit type must be barriered by YOU. For example, against a player using 2 knights, scout, assassin, pyro, witch, LW, BW, cleric and enchantress, you must barrier a knight, the scout, the assassin, the pyro, the witch, the cleric and the enchantress. You do NOT need to win the game. Opponent must be rated 900 or greater. Screenshots of each barriered unit is required (and yes, I know this is a lot), so your reward will be: 50 Challenge Points.

Good luck chasing the cleric into your BW range.

Edit: This isn't much of a challenge if you have loads of BWs (as Ciompi showed), so I am now altering the rules slightly. You may now only use 1 drop of your chioce, and if it is a BW, they have to be within 4 spaces of each other. Just to make the cleric-chasing a little harder.

Challenge 10: Ward Off Your Opponent

You may use any 7 grey units, but you MUST include a cleric which is placed in one corner of the board, which must be surrounded by wards on both sides, and a scout. Against a 900+ opponent, win the game with only your scout, cleric and wards remaining. (You are NOT permitted to kill any of your own surviving units either.) Ignore the melee and go for the range... Current Reward: 30 Challenge Points.

Challenge 11: Weapons Of Mass Destruction

You may use any 10 units of your choice, including any drops and gold units. Against a 1100 or higher rated player (grey or gold), your challenge is to kill 5 units in 1 turn. Obviously the best way to do this is use a wisp and mud golem combination, but a pyromancer kill is also possible... Obviously, you will probably need to remove the enemy cleric first (although if you can manage to complete the challenge without doing this, your points will be doubled). Screenshots of the start of the battle, the start of the 5-kill turn and the end of the 5-kill turn are required. Current Reward: 50 Challenge Points.

Damn I just missed Challenge #1. He got a scout front shot that killed it. I started with 8 units but finished with 7, can I get credit for the endurance. I mean I ahd a high enuf proportion?

Hmm.. great idea! Though it is a little selfish, having people do these things for you . Maybe it can be a Community Tournament instead!

Btw, 'tis sad that my high-tec comp can't go through the screenshot process..

EDIT: One more thing, Exile, please state that you can not defeat the challenges with a clan member because I know a pretty creative way to cheat if you could! (Psst, anyone here wanna let me flawless them with some grey units?) Kinda thing.

Cmon F-A. Clan members is the easiest way to do this without bombin stat. I mean yeah u could cheat, but I wouldn't.

I'm not accusing you of cheating, but I think, and Exiled would probably agree, that you should be willing to lose stats for this tournament. Or else you aren't really deserving the prize. I'm so wise, aren't I?
