Unit Ideas

Has anyone thought of an idea to do a unit who attacks in more then one way? Perhaps has a distance attack as well as a short range which would do more damage. Or perhaps an attack that depending on where you hit them from does more damage... Maybe an assassin like character who when they hit from the back it does 2x damage, but from a distance can throw darts. Not sure, this unit could be overpowered easily, it would have to have a long recovery time but good movement. Maybe.

Wrong idea. I'm saying 1 single unit who has BOTH attacks, the ninja has one overpowered attack, the pirate you said either a cutlass or a pistol. The pirate idea would work though if he had both the cutlass and pistol. But I think that would be just a scout knight combo, the assassin would be alot better as you could have the ability to do more damage from the back, maybe his short range attack only works from the back. Sigh.

Meh, I still don't like the pirate idea. How many pirates were running around in medieval times anyways.

Based on the theme of medieval/magic, quite a few. Pirates however were not around until a while later.
