Tonight I ran into an old rival on the Banff server, Atomsk. He offered up a challenge and I gladly accepted, knowing I was in for another good game. It started out as per usual...though it seemed that I had jumped out to an early lead. That changed late in the game, and eventually it came down to him with his dragon and stonie, and me with my knight, stonie, and lightening ward.

I retreated to the safety of my ward, and used the stonie to keep my knight alive as long as possible. With some manuvering I was able to get his dragon down to 14hp before my knight died. Now I was left with only my stonie and lw. I moved my stonie into a position where he could not get to it unless he came within range of my lw. My stonie could withstand a hit from his dragon, but his dragon could not withstand a hit from my lw. So at this point, either he went for my stonie and I zapped his unit, and then it would be a draw....or he didn't come after the stonie, and it would still be a draw. At least...that's what it should have been.

Now, normally I don't like to bad mouth people in the forums....but this had to have been the most childish act I've ever witnessed on TAO. Instead of accepting the fact that I had manuvered my way into a draw...he continued to move his dragon around every other turn. When I asked why he was doing this(especially since his rating would go up with a draw cuz mine was higher) he said he "wanted to play just like me." He said that he was "a very patient man." And while he didn't beat me....he could still win. And he wasn't going to leave it any other way. After spending at least 15 minutes just hitting the hour glass....and obviously getting no where with him I surrenderd.

This in my opinion is a flaw in the game that needs to be fixed. Unfortunately...I don't see how it's possible, other than to ban the immature players that just don't get it.

I've informed the rest of my clan members about his actions...and I'm going to make sure he has a hard time finding any games on Baff....but either way I must say this is the lowest a player can sink to, just to get a win.

Atomsk....you are truly pathetic.
