Invalid name or password... what?

I keep trying to log on to banff but an error keeps popping up saying invalid name or password. I know that both the username and password are correct, and i have been trying for a few days now. Is there anyway for me to get the account wroking... or is it lost forever?

sorry, but chances are it's lost forever. A few days ago on Banff there was a bit of a blip and some accounts got deleted. If you got a gold account, then email the admin and they'll restore it. If you got a grey account, then remake your account and start over. It's the risk you take when you put a lot into a grey account, because grey accounts aren't meant to last that long. Anyone that plays this game a lot and has a vested intrest in the progress that you make (gaining drops, getting a nice rating) then you really should go gold.

I have your same problem, suddenly i try to use my acount names on all three areas along with their correct passwords... [by the way, all three acounts were different] AND IT SAYS "INVALID ACCOUNT NAME OR PASSWORD". AAAARRRRGHHH! Somebody's gonna PAY!

Did this start today? Because they deleted all the grey accounts yesterday at midnight.

This keeps on happening
on all the servers and it is the 3rd time this week. Everytime invalid username and password. I use the same username and password for everything so i know i didn't type it in wrong. This is getting out of hand. I won't pay $5 a month for this. I can get much better games. This shouldn't happen all the time!!!
About every 2 days my account goes. They need to still keep grey accounts. This happens all the time!

calm down wrapper... what server r u on? and does this really happen every 2 days or r u exagerating? banff was on the fritz for a while but is back up now so those problems should be gone, and newb accounts were just deleted a lil over a week ago, so just be patient and if the problem persists and is only happening to u, then come report it, but for now i think all the bugs r worked out and things should be stable again

If ur a grey...ur account has absolutely no guarentee whatsoever that it will be there for u when u want to play. Wipes are just a part of it. There is nothing u can do or say at all if ur account dissapears/gets deleted/doesn't work for any reason at all. There is nothing in the TAO agreement that says that they hav to make sure ur grey accounts are safe.

The only way u hav any right to ask about it is if ur a gold account member and said account is having problems. Otherwise...ur playing for free...so u can't complain :/


Most likely, most of the ppl who said they've had troubles here are ones whom havn't played since the alst wipe, so they may be a bit behind the updates and not realize they're account were deleted.
