Question About Gold Accounts

When you go up to gold, do you:

1. Get all the units offered so far

or

2. Get any units offered AFTER I join?

For example, do I have to join up before Dec. 5 to get a Dragon, or is it available to ALL Gold members [along with the second Scout, the golems, etc].

You get all units released, as well as new ones that are released.
